Just got the interior design concept from my upholstery/audio shop that they said they could do this for me. Basically majority of my budget is throw in this parts of the mods.
    Pic first:
    tacoma interior design.jpg

    Here is the list:
    - Tundra 1794 Steering wheel
    - Tundra 1974 center arm rest tray (WITH WIRELESS PHONE CHARGING!!!!!!!!!)
    - Tundra 1974 style arm rest and dash/door trim piece.
    - Silver trim piece painted in exterior colour (cement grey)
    - POWER SEATS FROM 4RUNNER!!!!!! NOT TUNDRA PIC IS WRONG
    - Audison AP 8.9 bit with 9 speaker (include center channel) plus 2 subwoofer
    - Sound Skin TM entire interior sound proofing
    - Custom manual shift boot(black alcantara) with matching stitching(brown stitching)
    - Steering wheel bluetooth remote control
    - Viper Remote Start(2-way) with security features
    - Secondary battery and inverter, 4 extra usb(charging only) + 3 extra 12v socket, 2 interior 110v 600w house three-prong plug with built in C/B
    - Switch-Pro switch bank
    - Trailer Brake Controller
    - Dual Batteries conversion kit

Seriously how much I spend on the interior of this truck is double the price of expidition one bumpers + sliders+ tires+ rims + lifts. If any one want their interior been make over I can let the designer to help you guys with that.

This concept turns out to be way better than what I thought
    Hope you guys like it.

Concept image looks great. Will be interesting to see final photos. I'd have just started w/ the 1974-edition Tundra myself, but that's not as much fun.

Get them to make that steering wheel heated.

If this was a gen 2 makeover to gen 3 I would understand, but the gen 3 interior is already quite nice. Unless you got a lot of free coin, I load up on sound proofing and sound system. But this is your rig so enjoy. Just seems like a lot of money for OEM+ mod. Wish the stock gen 3 would be just swap right over into gen 2.

I still need to work on my 4runner seats into regular cab gen 2, but how does the Tundra seat plug into the gen 3 taco harness? You have the passenger / front airbag position sensor, then the SRS in the seats... electrically would make sense if they all use the same value resistance and so on, but they don't. Have you or your shop confirm the Tundra seat is a straight swap or are they going to bypass the SRS system.

If I was in your shoes, I just sound proof and upgrade the audio if you don't like the sound. But again... mod is about what you like and what you want to spend on... just providing an opinion since you posted this thread.

Are you buying the tundra seats new or buying from a wrecked Tundra? Buying new is fucking ridiculous amount of money from the dealer. Toyota has a thing for fake leather...my 4runner seats are leather, but it looks fake... it's the new thing from Toyota... just fyi. You might want to consider 4runner seats if they are straight swap with gen 3...you have to check that.

I literately just copy the list from their email without a secondary look. I just realized this problem too. I told them I want the seats from a Lexus GX(same chassis) or a 4Runner, don't know how they decide to put tundra seats in there. If I'm buying a 4Runner seat or a Lexus seat( probably refurbished or used, gonna redo the whole leather thing anyway), it will be used or base model, but I do want heated and cooled seat, also heated steering wheel, the tundra wheel will fit on there for no problem because that they are just the same steering wheel. The seats come with Tacoma feels a little too hard and little too high for me, and also I want a powered seat. ( previously a Merc owner) I do love gadgets but I do like trucks. Especially a manual one. The center phone holder/tray will be equipped with wireless charging/ iPhone dock too, that looks like a reasonable place to put a cellphone.

I've had several BMWs cars as well... but seems you want to turn your taco into a lexus. I believe some higher end 4runner models will have heated cooled seats. The issue again is will the plugs match between tacoma and 4runner/lexus GX. I doubt it...knowing Toyota they love making thing not plug and play between models. If you got the money and the shop can give you a west coast custom setup and charge you the same amount from what you are describing... hey more power to you if you got the coin.

If it's from the shop...they might just cheat and rip your Taco seats for the SRS and sensors and transplant them over to the donor seats and charge you another arm and leg for custom leather seats. They'll probably add aftermarket heater/coolers so they can make the electronics easy for themselves.

If you think going from Mercedes to Gen 3 taco is bad...try going from BMW to gen 2 regular cab taco with roll up windows (Already thought M car to BRZ was bad). I wish Gen 3 Taco was available in Regular cab... be perfect for me without any mods... except for a different engine :)

P.s. Unless you love Alcantara, I stay away from it. I see no value in that material. Go leather or don't leave stock... don't see the benefit other than it's synthetic for Alcantara.

It looks nice, but if you wanted super luxury, why did you get a truck?

OP have you verified that the Tundra seats fit? do you know any other detail about that, like if only certain types of seats work, and is it bolt in or requiring more modification? i'd consider any other seats, especially if they're cheap (used ok), comfortable/adjustable, and bolt in. the Taco seats are too high and have a non-adjustable bottom that my hips just don't get.

I'm not consider it super luxury because at the similar price a limited Ford/ram 1/2ton or a GMC Denali will be way luxurious than that( I ain't get no multi contour-seat). The reason I pick Tacoma is because it is the most comfortable mid size truck( I want manual I can also go with a ram 3/4 ton, nothing more expensive than 70g and wrangler is garbage on highway) with a manual transmission and great off road capabilities, also pretty damn reliable ( it's a Toyota!)

Dang, how much is all that gonna cost? Seems like it would have been cheaper to buy a Lexus GX and chop the back to turn it into a truck ; )

If the OP is going to swap in Tundra parts (i.e. seats and center console) I do not see this working at all. While I have not measured them, are the seats in the Tundra not a fair bit wider and higher? How would that fit in a much smaller Tacoma along with a larger center console? Even if the center console was not changed over, I doubt if the seats would fit.

I am curious to see if the OP can make this happen.

The center console lid is just some extra padding with a tundra tray......It's way more narrower than a tundra (tacoma size, just a little higher and padded), seats I told them I want the one in 4runner but for some reason they just put tundra seat in this list (I doubt it wont fit).

No manual tranny no driving. Lexus don't have manual tranny so it does not even exist on my list.

Seems they photochop several interiors together. I don't know where they got the steering wheel, but wasn't any 1974 edition I saw online. The extra buttons is going to be needed to be supported via the clockspring. If the clockspring are compatible between 4runner/tundra than yeah it'll be not too much work. But if the clockspring is not compatible...what are they going to do? Make a new connector and then have it go through the clockspring? Something to consider.

Tundra is 6" wider than the Tacoma... the 4runner is 2" wider. The 4runner seats will not be as plush as the Tundra seats from the looks of it. I have 2013/2014 4runner seats...so I know how they are.

I would ask again about the SRS in the seats and heated and cooling features. The tundra seats may fit...but they will probably need to weld on new seat sliders from the Tacoma original seat. I don't know the compatibility between gen 3 tacoma and 4runner. I know the plug on the 4runner is not plug and play with my basic Tacoma gen 2.

It looks like a $10K job what you've listed...is it more than that?

Finally why use Audison processor... have you read the reviews? So you want to use the stock radio and then use DSP to make the sound flat again so it's nice and clear... but there are other companies probably do a better job...Alpine and older JBL MS-8. These processors go inbetween the stock radio and the aftermarket amps and speakers.

You're considering to spend this much money... think about how it's done and ask them to make sure they know what they are doing and get it done on budget. So far it seems just ideas photochopped together.

I just sent an email to the shop to confirm the seats option, worse situation I have to wait till my oem leather seat completely wear out (2 year, 200k km) and redo the seat than. Steering wheel are the same.

For the sound system why I pick audison is very simplt, I am not running audio directly off the factory head unit, I am running my audio off a Sony ZX2 + PHA3 Hires player, from PHA3 wired into the extra factory harness and meanwhile mix in the factory head unit for bluetooth and navigation pause audio feature. Why I use audison because I know it very well and I personally have a bit tune so I can even tune my own sound system.

I am planning to spend 10k canadian dollars on interior(leather, sound system, brake controller, lights controller, inverter, batteries, trims ) and 7k canadian dollars on the exterior (bumpers, grill, winch, lights, sliders, flares, tires, rims, racks, cover)

If the 4 runner seat doesnt work I guess I have to modify the seat barcket to make it lower, i dont care about the power function at all I only care if i can lower it, passenger seat? dont even care a bit.

I love wood and brown leather and also manual transimission, if they make tundra in manual I definitly will go out and buy one.

That's not a dash cover, they are wrap with a thin layer of padding materials, with custom stitching, effect will be similar to Mercedes S class dashboard with lower grade leather.

    Thanks
The major problem I have currently is the seat, but I guess with all smart brains here I can come out a solution since budget is not an issue here for me.
Crazy facts: Tundra steering wheel is exactly the same as the tacoma one.
