I'm digging the look of your truck, nice wheels! The reflection of the house makes the front of the truck look lighter than the rest of it.

Thanks guys! It's a work in progress, would've had the wheels about a month ago but it took me that long to pick out what I wanted!

As I previously stated those wheels look great! But now seeing a full side view of things all I can imagine is waaaaaaay too much work to keep 'em looking purty.

Actually I just drove through rain for three days, sun is out and you really can't even tell they are dirty....I was afraid of that as well, but they really don't show normal driving dirt........I think they'll actually be easier to maintain than the original factory wheels.

Walking out to the truck this morning, recently washed and with a light coat of frost on it, I thought, "Man I love this color."

I feel the same way every time I walk out and see it sitting in my driveway. Best looking truck hands down IMO, mid or full size.

+100 on the color. It just looks so good. Brought her home last night, 2017 TRD Sport DCSB with premium tech. VIN starts with a 5. Built date 11/16. It took 4 Tacomas to nail the right one (drive feel), and I'm so happy the right one was also my color of choice. I feel like all Tacomas are not built equally. The first had clunk noises in the rear gears and didn't shift right w/o ECT. Out of the four across 2 dealerships, this one feels the most normal.

Price wise, 42K OTD, including OEM running boards, tonneau cover, LED DRL lights, LED lighting package, hood decal, 5-window tinting, all weather mats, back seat USB ports, and tailgate remote locking. Got the dealer to check the ATF and they confirmed in person and in writing (email) the levels are correct to specification. I doubt they actually did an overflow test. Time will tell, but it is documented. At the first sign of trouble, I'll be calling Corporate Toyota to open a case and demand an overflow test. Anyway, I digress.
First mods when she got home: LED interior lights, LED low beam Headlights and tail, AVS rain shield, and TACOMA lettering in the tailgate. Yes, I love the cool colors of LED. Has a more modern feel.

Took a couple of pix last night from my tight garage. Will take better ones later. A big shout out to this forum for providing so much helpful info.

Nice truck! I just picked up the same truck 2 weeks ago, but in a manual transmission. The color is amazing!

42k OTD though? Ouch! I know it has a lot of extras, but damn dude. That's going to hurt a little bit at resale. I got mine for $33k OTD. It does not have the premium tech package and it's a manual, but I did get the all weather floor mats and tonneau cover. Plus I paid almost 10K less than you. You probably could have got the truck and added all of that stuff by yourself for a lot less.

Stock tires in 4x4 are actually pretty solid in the snow. Don't know if they'll be so great in deep snow or on slick hills, but they're better than I thought they'd be. Might delay my purchase of Duratracs until the stock tires need to be replaced.

Thanks. Yeah i could have saved a little if I did the install work myself. I got lazy and paid the dealer to do it, and have the work as part of warranty. My OTD was $41,509 (42K) so agree its quite a chunk of change. Base MSRP $34,705 for my TRD Sport 4X4 DCSB A/T. Premium tech and tow package = $3,715. TT&L, delivery, processing & handling = $2,418. That's already 41K before any accessories and install, granted its MSRP before discounts. Oh forgot to mention OTD also includes extended warranty valued at $695, which extends the Toyota Care from 25k miles to 50k miles, 2 years to 5 years, whichever comes first. Given all the potential issues with the 3rd gen Tacoma, it seems like a good investment as I plan to keep this truck for years to come. Glad to hear you got a smoking deal with your build from the sounds of it.
