All my RC's were fuel motored. But after playing around with my sons truck I'd probably buy electric. They are pretty maintenance free.

Electric all the way. Fast, clean, not so loud. Which is not to say those Nitro cars are not fun because they are crazy fun!

Definitely go electric! Nitro is a major PITA. A lot of tracks and public play areas have banned it anyway. This was my 2S speed car that I was going for 100MPH and hit 99.8. We lost our place to run and never got a hat.

I actually almost got a ticket for running my nitro tmax at hollister years ago because it didn't have a spark arrestor. Guy was just being a dick.

Dude it's hella fun. I have a Team Associated SC10. Built it up pretty good, lipo, new motor/speed controller etc. I hadn't used in years, then my daughter saw it in the attic and went bonkers. Now we run it all the time. She just mashes the throttle and turns the wheel back and forth and giggles uncontrollably. It's a hoot. Need a nice wide open area though. When she hammers it into the backstop at the baseball field it didn't fare too well...

We went from Rockets to gas powered airplanes. Then I wrecked a few of those and I think my Dad gave up lol. In my defense, we went from a starter plane that stalled if it went to high or low (the kind on a string and you turn in circles) and then moved up to some crazy stunt plane, first time we used it it was twice as fast as what I was used to and got about 3 total turns before it went over my head and nose dived. Poor plane lol

I have had both nitro and electric planes. They are a lot of fun but you better always be on your game! You have a bad day with a plane and there is rarely it's not gonna be expensive.

Yup, the stunt plane was going great, for a couple turns but the lack of a high point stall made me lose control and after going up and down, higher and higher, finally it just went straight up and over my head and nose dived. The engine basically grenaded with alot of the front end lol

The helicopters are similar, one mistake and something's broken. I've probably spent over 5k in rc cars, trucks, and helicopters. I'm trying to stay away from it now, I need money for the real truck instead.

My dad spent like 2 years slowly building this monstrous helicopter thing. took up the entire dining room table, blades were like 3 feet long each....said he took it out, played with it for about a minute and lost control and it grenaded on the ground. Bye Bye $1500 lol

Anybody want this? Works, just runs hot enough to melt plastic air hoses and make a fun sound when that happens.
Just what you see in the picture - no hoses or anything else. Free.

I'll take it! Could look into fixing it and running it in my 4runner. I'll be in San Jose tomorrow for work if you're around.
