That's a thought. Are you talking about pulling three wires to size and having a 50A, 30A and 15A plugs?

Late morning here, I was up until 0200 and woke to my wife talking to me like I was wide awake?!?

My brother has one, very cute and well behaved, too small for me.
Chris hits 50 this month, we tolerate him.

Welcome, Nice place Paso Robles, you go off roading?

I don't mind that stuff other than the crawling. It's the 4.2 and 12.5 kV stuff at work I don't like to mess with. Luckily, I'm on the controls side and rarely do. We have some 4000 hp motors that have 12 sets of motor leads going to them to supply the current demand.

No, just pull one and split it at a service box with 3 different breakers coinciding with 3 different plugs (50, 30 and 15).

I'm like that too. We have a bunch of 480 out there. I pretty much stop at the 120 boxes. I understand most of it but don't like it.

To add more pain, the person before me did a lot of shady shit and we're slowly finding it as it fails. Splices in the underground conduit, wire color changes in the same underground conduit, boxes not grounded, grounds wires going to water pipes. Luckily I have a seasonal worker who really understands all this stuff so I save the crap that challenges me for the 5-6 months he's here.

That would be me, and explain the difference between the Chiefs Mess and Wardroom

An hour or 2 later yes :) After walking for miles behind the dogs and plowing through CRP and cattails pretty whipped. Not as easy as it was when we were younger :-(

As the caffeine slowly wafts through my brain, a thought occurred to me. If you're close enough to your main box, you could run 3 different sets wires. It just depends on how far you want to walk to flip a breaker. But it's a better practice to just bring over one and break it out in a separate box that's isolated from the main box.

When I bought my house wanted to do the same thing and my FIL (ex) looked at it before he passed away. That is exactly what he said and was an electrician his whole life including owning his own contracting business.

As Harry Callahan said "A man's got to know his limitations" :} I would rather track an armed subject into the woods then screw around with 480v thank you very much :} I have a better chance with me and the pup playing hide and go seek then touching stuff I know just enough to be dangerous to my self about :} LOL Besides with all the hardware holding me together I imagine I might pop apart at a few joints like a Mr. Potato head ":} LOL

That's probably what I'll do, break it out at the box. $$$ With the 30A I had planned on just pulling the wire over from a new breaker in the main panel with just an outlet on the outside. I could do either. I just need to go up on one side and over the laundry room and over the storage room to be to the outside wall. I can't go under because the storage room is just a step up concrete floor from the carport.

No, you don't want to go blowing apart. It would be hard to pull yourself together after that.
