How much space is between your LCA and bumps when wheels are on the ground?

 

I've got DK lowers. I like them they look good. Reasons why I went these over the TC race was they were cheaper and they have Delrin bushings... if wi were to do it again I'd just go straight to a 2+ TC race series kit and not do lowers

 

Not much, an inch or two, but Superbumps still work well with them, just need a bunch of spacers.

I didn't look back on the sway bar either, ride is much better without.

So you like silver better than black . I'd have a very hard time arguing against either solution.

 

Also to note for TC LCAs I used 1" of spacers for my superbumps.

 

What did you use for spacers? It looks expensive to add an inch of wheeler's spacers - did you use compressible spacers or just washers?

 

I made my own spacers out of 1/2" High Density Polyethylene.

 

Seems easy enough. Where is a good place to buy it in small amounts? Looks like Amazon will be ~$13 if I make stackable spacers to get the right height. Was there a good amount of threads to lock in with the spacer in there?

Here's the link to the one I bought. I cut out as much as I can to optimize the board and then used what i needed and passed the remainder to TW locals who needed spacers.

I'll be dremeling them so less is more if you know what I mean. 1/2" sounds good. I can cut the rest into squares for other people lol.

 

I bought a 3" hole saw bit from Lowes then shaved the edges with a knife. It's messy so be ready for that.

 

$7 for one on Amazon sounds like a plan. Nothing like half melted plastic flying all over the place. I'll make sure to do it outside where I can sweep.

 

You didn't have to buy longer bolts though? There was plenty of thread poking through the end of the spacer material?

 

I did. I had to buy M10x1.25x60 Allen bolt to fit inside the superbump and the correct threads for the bump stop mount.

 

Are you running the standard tc lowers or the race series lowers?
