Turd gen OEM leafs onto a 2'nd gen: will it work?

will an OEM leaf pack from a 3'rd gen work on a 2'nd gen or am I SOL?

 

Well....let's hope so. I just picked up a set of take-offs for $50 w/ under 200 miles on them.

 

it should, 2nd/3rd gen are same suspension

So the new to me leaf pack came off of a 2016 DCSB TRD OR. It has a three + overload leaf.
My 2013 ACLB TRD OR is a two + overload leaf.

WTF is going on here? When did they make the change over to 3+overload?

 

TSB leaf pack. I think 2014 was when they were first included in new trucks.

 

everything post october 2013 build all 6 lugs came with 3+1 leaf packs.

Pre october 2013 trucks had different packs depending on configs. TRD OR's always had 2+1's Sports always had 3+1's and base/sr5's had them if optioned with the tow package.

 

So peeps are still aal-ing the 3+1's? Jeezus Toyota leaf packs are WEAK!!!

 

Yup i have a 2in single AAL on my 3+1.... and am desperately waiting for dobsions parabolic springs to come out!

 

Same here. Just threw the 1-1/2" AAL in my 3+1.
