Got a truck, but not a 3rd gen!

I've been on these forums for awhile now, especially during the anticipation of what the 3rd gen may be.

When the engine specs came out, I was disappointed. How can there be more horse power than torque? But I eventually put that aside thinking that it's performance and reliability will make up for it.

Then came the reported CPS issues which stalled vehicles in compromising situations affecting safety. That is when I realized Toyota lost its in way in America. One thing Toyota has been known for is to get you there and get you back home and the 2016 seemed to ruin that for me. I don't mind the other issues as much, but a vehicle not bringing me home is a complete deal breaker. Some say it's fixed in the 2017 model, but it's too late in my opinion. I test drove 4 2017's. 3 were good, but not good enough as I felt the low end power was non existent. The 4th definitely had a transmission delay from R to D.

Some say I'm a troll, but I'm responsible for at least 2 things on this forum:
    1. Tracking CPS issues the best I could.
    2. Finding out Seatbelt Mike's Chrysler history.

But enough of that. Since I'm so sick of Toyota of America, I decide to go through an importer who specializes in shipping excellent condition Toyota's from overseas to America that are over the 25 year import rule.
    The result:

I purchased the most indestructible and reliable Toyota pickup truck ever made in my opinion.

A 1988 Toyota Hilux SSR Quad cab 5-speed Diesel with 89,000km/55,000 miles.

It has some minor dings and scratches, but it runs flawlessly. It just arrived at my house tonight. The photos are dark but I'll try and take some better photos this week.

I also really want to know this. And what do you have to do to register/insure it?

$16,200. The importer I went through is fairly reputable and handles all the paperwork. After I send him the money, the importer sent me all documents including the port documents, EPA, USDOT, and a state title. I just have to register it here in FL this week with a possible inspection.

Parts availability for this toy or is it going to be a garage queen?

Parts come from overseas, so it will mostly be a garage queen.
