I know the feeling, quad injuries, back injuries, and a permanent shoulder injury is holding me back!!! Sucks. Hang in there though, you'll be back to it before you know it.

 

I ordered honey badger pre-workout off Amazon a few days ago in a search for a pre-workout that wasn't filled with artificial sweeteners and fillers. Used it today for the first time. Wasn't anything spectacular (wasn't expecting it to be) but sure did taste good and it was able to take me from borderline nap to lifting in 30 minutes.

I usually shake pretty bad after a workout (to the point I can't write legibly). That didn't happen and I haven't "crashed" nor do I feel like I will be up for hours.

Hoping this does the trick for those rough days that I take pre...only time will tell.

 

I feel like this is me lately.

Fell and basically broke my ass a few months ago. Couldn't do squats or deads.

Car wreck/deeply bruised pec in October. Couldn't do chest or tris or some back exercises, after taking a whole week off.

This shoulder problem now. Not gonna be able to lift heavy for a few weeks at least.

Shit just keeps popping up holding me back. It sucks.

Wife wants to start working out now, no planet fitness. Small local gym close to where we live. I'm excited to start going there, but my planet fitness workout buddy doesn't seem like he wants too. It's actually cheaper than planet fitness if you pay 1 yr in advance. It has everything too. The owner is a pretty cool dude and the gym has around 100 or so members. 24hr too since the gym has a keycard to enter. So you might be the only person in the whole gym. Free range for everything. Super exciting!

 

Lifting shoes should be here today!!! Too bad I skwatted yesterday.

Nice! I loved my inov8 fast lifts. I use an inov8 cross trainer right now with a hard heel. Works well for an overall lifting shoe with occasional sprints. Those should give you a huge boost in flexibility and stability for squats.

I have a pro-deal with these guys as well and I'll be picking up my second pair of hiking/hunting boots from them and another of shoes for lifting.

By far my favorite brand of shoe for any activity.

 

Good to hear. Found them for $80 and was hesitant to buy them. Same website had them for $60 3 days later when I went to buy them, so I went ahead with em.

You can find their previous year models at steep discounts. I found a few retailers that do 50% off at times. $60 is about as good as you can get :thumbs up:. A steal imo.

 

I got them from 6pm.com. Seems like they get stores' excess and sell them at discounts.

Thank you! It's not belated, it's still today lol. Lifts are going alright. Haven't been pushing many limits. Prepping for the holidays and my upcoming move across the country has limited some of my gym days will be nice to get back into a normal routine!!!

 

Fuck this whole shoulder injury thing.

And fuck this day in general.
