I'm taking a swell gal up to the Blairsville area next weekend. Looks to be cold & rainy. What should we do besides the obvious stuff? I've always cooked at the cabin in the past, but we'll need to find some decent, "fancy" grub for at least one meal. Where's the meatman? Surely he knows a good spot, and don't say "Rib Country" y'all. I'm talking wine and junk and a $100+ check.

No need for guilt. It's not like I'm skipping out purposefully :pout:

I don't know what's in blairsville. Christy Lee's or Harvest on Main here in Blue Ridge are good and are easy to rack up a triple digit bill.

I say christy Lee's is good...I haven't been there in a while. I know @Flowin went there when they were in town not long ago.

@BYJOSHCOOK let me know when you're free, I may be rebuilding my cv's pretty soon. Could use an extra hand or two. Would have to be on a Saturday

I'm pretty booked until after Christmas. Helping my buddy install LT this weekend, then it's Christmas that next weekend and then New Years. But January 7th is currently open

Ya man no rush, def be next year sometime. I'm thinking my front end wobble may be associated with worn cv's. My passenger side separated when I did my ball joints. Just slid it back in and it works but def needs fixed

Yeah vibrations are tough to figure out. I have a small one somewhere. Never dealt with CV's but shouldn't be too tough

Ya I think it's basically just boot replacement and fresh grease. :notsure:
I would think you could replace the joint but idk I have to look into it a little further

My damn rock sliders (hitting the cab) is starting to irritate the hell out of me any time I go over a bump. I guess I can quit being lazy and actually remove them to trim the pinch weld on the cab.

    Check your body mounts.

Over time, they compress (fail) allowing the cab to hit the sliders.

The preferred fix is to replace the bushings with urethane ones from Energy Suspension.

I'm pretty sure @Mad T has the same issue. Don't know if he ever resolved it

My truck only has 12k miles on it. I have looked into the urethane bushings and would prefer to do that as it's more of a true fix rather than a band-aid of trimming the pinch welds. I've also read that this is a big PITA to do. Have you done this yet?

No, not yet. TW user Crom did on his 2009. Years ago, I changed them on my Ranger - it was a bit of work, but the result was worth it.
