We do it all the time for business meetings between different companies. Company money is easy to throw down on the table.

I'd go 4.56s and a set of 255/85s when you get new tires. The 255s are taller than the 285s and narrower which will help you offroad and drop you a couple hundred RPM on the street (Help with MPGs). You can also use your factory wheels and there's less trimming involved.

TW's facination with 285's baffles the fuck outta me.

The only 4.10s made are a Toyota part and you've already seen how well they stand up to abuse

@JimboAnz I vote 4:56 the hit for daily driving isn't bad but get a much better payoff when wheeling.

So that would be a 255/80 for a 17" wheel, yes?

That is some crazy stuff. Glad to hear it worked out. I think I would have left with considerably more grey hairs.

I like em. I've been using them since they came out, and gone through all the remods of them. Marlin is great to work with, and they have the same angle and cut as Total Chaos UCAs.

255/85R16. For a 17 it would be a 255/80/17. I believe you have the factory TRD Offroad wheels, so you could keep them and just swap tires. Best deal I've found on the 255s is from Maxxis and sold by Pep Boys, I think they were under 200/tire. I had two sets prior to going 37s

I had Maxxis Buckshots on a previous truck (single cab, short bed, Dodge Ram 4x4) and had zero complaints.

FWIW I had 4.56s and 255s in my truck prior to the 37s. In my 6speed that would put the final drive ration close to an auto with 4.88s. I drove from here to Dallas like that. At 69MPH I was turning about 3200rpm. I was gonna wind it up any higher than that for extendend periods.

I actually got better milage when I switched to 37s, because of their longer rollout diameter droping my RPMs. These engines seem to like to live in the 23-2700 RPM range. Under that and they are gutless over and MPG goes to shit
