I have a pretty decent Samsung camera set-up, but not even the best cameras can get clear license plate numbers or facial details. The first incident where I've never been so happy to have cameras was when this crazy woman who lived next door who vandalized my Tacoma. It was just silly-string (thank god). She denied it when I approached her, but then I said "I hope you realize I have several cameras that caught you doing it."

Attempted to install my Dakars this past weekend, but got beat by the front bolt and nut. You guys have any recommendations to get them off? Cutting them? :notsure:

Cut it off but first get a new one from the dealer. It's an odd metric size that the average hardware store won't have.

That's the original plan but my buddy said we could try this weekend. I'll be checking the part number and getting it this week

I had a blast installing my leafs. A few write ups said to do one at a time, but I found it much easier to drop the whole axle at once. I struggled getting one Dakar leaf pack installed until I dropped the other side. Just gave me more room to work.

Don't worry, my truck plans got squashed this weekend as well. There's always tomorrow.

I did one side at a time, didn't really have any problems getting anything out/off. I guess that'a the good part of replacing 9 month old springs.

A grade-8 9/16ths bolt works fine. Be sure to find some with an extra long shank before the threads start.

yes it works "fine", for a short time maybe while you wait for the dealer to get the right one, but it's not correct. It's a smaller diameter. It will cause premature wear on the inner bushing sleeve.

Drop bracket lift and booger welds
Or you can get a greasable front bolt and bushing set. That's what I have in the front of my stockers, but I'm not 100% sure on it's comparability with Dakars so you might need to see if they are or not.

Damnit! Wish I had seen that earlier, I would've probably looked into that. Kinda need them within the next week and Wheelers tends to take a little longer on shipping

9/16 is .2mm larger than the factory 14mm bolt. Less play, not more. Probably within the leaf bushing tolerances.
