Just got off the phone with Saint Augustine Beach PD and have found out that the twat is still in jail in St Johns County Detention center..

What her and others are doing is taking these checks going to the banks they were drawn on and cashing them. as I suspected from looking at the branch numbers on the back of the checks (mine) were cashed at my banking institution. Which is fucked up did the tellers not notice the inaccuracies in the check vs the account?

Also found out that she is just a runner cashes the fraudulent checks and such for the actual masterminds of the scam. They are maybe close to actually catching the masterminds of this as well. The Detective from Florida told me they are @ get this $1,765,000 so far as more and more come forward.. Wells Fargo,Bank Of America,Suntrust,BB&T and others.....

 

Hopefully you get your 1.7M back

Whats going to be nice is that both the checks that were cashed were fraudulent and on my account were cashed at my Banking Institution..

It's still going to be about 8-15 days before I see money replaced I will be made whole sooner than most.

 

Is it worth it to get a circle grinder and make some holes in the bumper?

I would bet that case will be getting more visibility if that many banks are now involved. Wouldn't surprise me if some of the banks offer up independent resources to help out with it. That's a lot of coin and people that are affected.

Being the fact that all BIG banks have a Fraud investigative unit that we pay for in fees and this is nothing new its only going to get worse...

This is why we don't make any money on our money from the banks...

Im just glad that I am 100% protected if this crap happens, although its shit that it still happens to other innocent folks. I am happy that atleast that chic is already home in jail. I hope they bag the big guys.

I work in financial for a banking institution. Not in the fraud dept though
