Richland Rd staging area - Partial Private Property/closed

I may not be camping in work until 6 that night and would be leaving right after work.. not sure where everyone is camping so would just depend

 

What time is the meetup Friday and where ?

 

Trying to figure that out, depends on who's camping and when they are trying to get there.

That's me, first time doing Richland Road. When I was airing down right before the first creek crossing a guy stopped in a Ford crossover SUV and said that I wasn't gonna make it up that obstacle. (Keep in mind that I am on 35's, I told him thanks for the info and waved) Haha.

With all the rain that I got last week in Greenville SC I was expecting the creeks to be running fast and deep but no such luck! I aired down to 15PSI and only spun tires one time going up the obstacle. The Taco with me is running 285's with a rear factory locker and aired down to 20PSI, he did spin a few times getting up it but if he had aired down to 15PSI it would have been easier. We camped at Brown Mountain OHV that night which was about a 30 minute drive from the top of Richland RD if I remember correctly. We did a 5 day trip in Western NC/TN and Richland RD was the very start of our trip, we camped out at Brown OHV that night and then wheeled there the next morning, pretty neat place.

 

I will look at Brown Mtn. too!

My biggest concern now is ice- on the rocks. Supposed to rain tomorrow, then become Arctic cold Wednesday- not warming above freezing untill Saturday afternoon.
