    Nice.
I miss plowing for a contractor; for a day's worth of work he'd pay me a couple hundred bucks, plus he bought all the fuel (which was good because the truck he assigned me was a V10 Dodge 2500)

The company won't let an employee hold a plowing/maintenance contract too. Something about it being a conflict. So I'd have to quit the regular day job (which is tempting, some days) to do it. And I'd have to buy a newer plow truck, because plowing commercially with the '84 would shorten its life considerably. And it's a 4 speed, so even if the truck held up I'd need a left knee replacement after a couple of years, lol.

Air bags, I have them and they work great. About $275 and about a 2hr or less install.

That a good contract to have as a landscaper. not a 24/7 operation so you don't need to have your customer do the car shuffle.

I used to be a member of the New England Turbo Diesel Club, and there was a member (it was Vinny's brother on the OCC TV show) that had a sweet plowing set up. 2ng gen Cummins with an 8' and a custom mount for a hydraulic actuated wing plow. Used to clear parking lots in no time. Hard part about having a parking lot contract is that you'll need a backup piece of equipment or a front end loader as the lot has to get cleaned...

    BTW, morning all!

Honestly, the transmission strategy is the main reason I'm looking into getting a tune. The gains on a N/A gas engine aren't as significant as they are on a diesel or the ecoboost. Just a tip, Livernois is cool, but their proprietary tuner has turned me off. Apparently, you can get an SCT tuner and get tunes from Livernois as an option. I'm looking at going with either 5 Star or MPT. I've been talking with MPT a little more closely, they've been great to deal with, answering all of my stupid questions so I think they're going to get my business.

From my understanding, some people get tunes specifically for the transmission improvements. I guess it really cleans up how the transmission operates. I really hate how if I pull out in traffic and stomp on it, it still short shifts at 3k RPMs rather than holding on to the gear longer. Also, when rolling and you punch it, it goes 6 to 5, then realizes 'oh shit, you mean really go' and finally jumps to 4. Tunes will fix a lot of that, let it jump from 6 to 4 and respond better to how much throttle input you give.

Also, don't borrow his tuner, they are programmed to the vehicle. I'm not sure what would happen if you plugged his into your truck but I gather that it wouldn't end well.

Just about as western as you can go in MA. About 20 minutes from the NY line. Probably 4-5" at home.

Based on my drive to work, the high elevations appear to have more snow. 6+ here on the hills on the eastern border of Berkshire County.

Well that's where I'm located. Not sure if you would want to come over and pick up the tire or not. It would be very easy for me to grab it from @DrFunker

Yup and a sander too. I worked as a building cleaner in my younger years, the owner also did landscaping and snow removal. It ain't easy.

I may make the trip down. I'm in the works of getting some steelies from Rob (for a Honda). If I wrap it all into one trip it would be great.
    thank you very much
we'll have to get together sometime. NEK is not that far and it's usually a nice drive.

Mmm hmm, and I suppose a front plate bumper and winch are a good idea to offset the weight on the hitch... I see how you operate...
