Your truck almost matched your user name.Yes this is a problem with these trucks,I would expect to see a recall in the near future for this.Im planning on asking our regional rep at the dealer I work at next time I see him.

I think what he's suggesting is perhaps it's not a design flaw but a manufacturing or product defect that is isolated and not something everyone should start freaking out about, hence the lack of widespread complaints.

The folks on this site are quite quick to jump to the conclusion that isolated problems are more than that.

The user name is a combination of my FR-S and Tacoma colors.

As for the clown that said I was full of shit...who sits around making this shit up. I can post a picture of the repair order if that would satisfy your need for me to validate you as a human being. I was just giving everyone a heads up.

I was being sarcastic as in why would you make it up to the poster above me as he alluded to you being full of it cause you didn't smell gas lmao. Like lotus said the blind fanboy love here is ridiculous sometimes.

My comment did not allude the OP to be full of it. Your interpretation of my comment caused you to think I was calling the OP full of it. Big difference in calling some one on BS and just stating the probability of an issue is unlikely. I was just stating that the smell of gasoline should have been noticed for an earlier detection. Its an unlikely blanket explanation of why tacomas have gotten below EPA mileage but who knows may. Good for the OP for fixing this issue it could have been really bad.

Thanks for sharing this, it's a bit concerning if more tacomas start seeing these issues. It could very well be a problem with only a handful of trucks but only time will tell. Leaking gas is not joke and I don't think Toyota will take this lightly

then... please explain "I find it hard to believe" ... what is "it"?

geez people... you're all a bunch of a-holes.

My previous comment did not allude to you all being an a-hole. Big Big difference in calling some one an a-hole and just stating the probability of you all being an ahole is unlikely. I was just stating that you should probably explain yourself. An its very obviously looks like you were calling the OP full of it.

    See how that works?
