Hey all had a second gen before currently have a 5th gen 4Runner trail.

So my wife wants to trade in her car and take my 4Runner from me besides giving her a blank stare I also thought what other vehicle I could get. To be honest I couldn't/still can't make up my mind on what vehicle. I do off road and love my 4Runner, probably the reason why I'm having a hard time choosing.

So far I've looked at all the toyotas wranglers, old land cruisers, Lexus GS line, hell even a gt350 lol. Love the cement trd pros but on the fence if I should buy now or wait. I know we are in a middle of a change from the upcoming zr2 maybe fords bronco.

    What's your guys opinions

Buy a 6MT Pro Cement. Get ready for the hate on this forum, but enjoy your truck. Do it, do it fast, before wife changes her mind.

If you do consider a 3rd gen tacoma, test drive them first. It will feel different than what you are used to in the 4runner.

There are quite a bit of options to choose from. Other than the new tacomas, you could buy a late model 2nd gen tacoma.

You got the zr2s as well that just came out, wrangler pickup, as well as ford ranger, and the new ridgeline if you're into that.

Best thing would be to test drive everything you are considering and see what you like best.

I will probably purchase a 2015 tacoma trd pro at some point.

Do you still have your 3rd gen tacoma? If you do, why not trade it in?

Sure you may take a little bit of a loss, but I wouldn't want to be driving something I didn't enjoy or was unhappy with.

I hear ya, maybe you will end up liking it, who knows. Just saying if you are having so many issues I would just get rid of it. Maybe there will be tsbs or something for your problems and they will go away and you will end up liking it.

I thought I remember you posted that you had several other expensive cars or something...so I would think a few thousand wouldn't make much of a difference especially if it ended up with you having a vehicle you liked.

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
OP, as a 3rd Gen Tacoma and a 5th Gen 4Runner Trail owner, decide if the bed is worth it.

The 4Runner is more refined in just about every way but bed storage. I built a small trailer to fix that problem if you don't mind towing small trailers.

I'm happy with my Tacoma, and loved my previous 2 other Tacomas. I didn't, however, drive a 4Runner until I bought her the one we have. I constantly use a truck for work, I need a truck, but if I didn't I'd just have 2 4Runners.

A lot of stuff, just ask and I'd be happy to tell you. Or we could wheeling/camping
Just get what makes you happy... There will always be something "bigger", "better","more well equipped" vehicle coming out. That being said I like your choices lol

I really like my truck. The drivetrain was a little different, but I'm happy with it.
