Kids in my high school used to try and convince each other to do it on the freeway because the computer wouldn't let the transmissions do anything if they shift into reverse at 65.

Petaluma area. I'll be at the Coast Guard base up there for a few days with lots of time to kill. What's the things to see and do and places to eat?

Sauced downtown is a pretty badass BBQ place. There's the Lagunitas brewery, they have live music almost every night. Lombardi's is also another good BBQ place in Petaluma. Downtown is cool, Mystic Theatre usually has some good shows going on.

Have breakfast on Petaluma Blvd at Wishbone. Located where 3 Cooks Cafe used to be.

Yeah its nuts. I helped a volunteer group clean up some of the areas up that way not too long ago, and was shocked with JUST how much shit gets left out there. I can't get too mad at the people who leave good (mostly unused) targets setup for the next person, but when Im coming across a stained mattress and a busted microwave, it drives me crazy. I especially hate the people who leave their trash and clays in the streams that run through some of the shooting areas up that way. You are right about EDNF too.... I am waiting for the day I drive up there and they have a gate over the trails with no trespassing signs.

Yeah I agree man. I dont mind sharing if I have a big open spot to shoot, but 9 times out fo 10, its usually a coked out redneck pulling up in his '98 civic with no muffler trying to shoot his new AR15. Then at that point, my buddies and I dont even focus on shooting, just watching the other people to make sure they aren't being suspect. lol

Yeah thats where it gets tricky no doubt. I go up there and honestly, sometimes I think "how in the hell is that dude able to have that AK-47?" But most of the time, the people I come across are nice folks like myself, that work their asses off mon-fri and just want to shoot some targets on a saturday morning. I'm just grateful that we still have areas like that, where we can truly be "off grid" and do what we want. Yeah, there are certain risks that could have major reprocussions, but Ill take those risks if it means I can do what I want and not be harrased by people. lol. Darwinism certainly is still in effect too, I agree with that 100 percent. We see acts of that every day on the news. lol

Crab legs and steak in the galley on base every Friday. Heard it's pretty good.

Handline in Sebastopol might be worth it too if you don't mind the drive. Not far from Two Rock.
