My first AR...very tacticool.

 

Is that a pelican case?

I want one that has the cut outs like that.

 

It's a Hardigg Storm i3200. The cut outs are done by hand. It's a little tricky to get them to come out looking good.

 

Never heard of them before, (not surprising though) but I don't know much about cases lol

How did you do the cut outs? Is it water proof?

 

It's as good or better than a Pelican. Yes, it's waterproof and shockproof.
How did I do the cut outs? Ha, very carefully with a break-away utlity knife. The best way is to make a hot wire knfe.

 

When and if I ever get one of these, Ill have to link up with you so I can learn how to do it...

I want that case too! I am not really impressed with the bag that the SR556 comes in. Its a nice gesture in all, but I think I will just keep the 10-22 in there.

 

For an action course, square to target, allows for better lateral movement.
For precision shooting, weak side toward target, left elbow(for right-handed shooter) in and against ribcage, open hand supporting fore-end or closed and fore-end resting on your knuckles with the back of your hand facing the target.
I don't think your precision shooting will be helped by those collapsible buttstocks. Pretty difficult to get a repeatable cheek weld.
Standard trigger on an AR is pretty hard and gritty, too.

 

Aside from standard triggers on others rifles, mine has factory-installed RRA two-stage.
I know of a trigger tuner that does a pretty good job for @$40 on a standard trigger.

 

That's the nice thing about my tacticool Aimpoint. No matter where my cheek weld is I don't have to worry about lining up sights. Where the red dot is, is where the bullet will go.

My collapsible stock is also a little beefier than most, take a look.

Those tubes on the side give it a wider profile than even an A2 stock.

 

Those stocks are cool. But if you have one and have a beard, tape over that joint or it will put the hurt on you!

Dude, you ain't lived until you get your goatee stuck in the crack...

 

There are ways to make a standard AR trigger smoother and more desireable. Some polishing and new springs will go a long way.

See I thought I must be blessed, because my trigger on my AR is smooth and crisp so is my dad's Bushy.

 

Have you ever compared them to a 2 stage trigger or a Timney like Chris has?

 

Only mine, to a Timney before. Mine was not as light a pull, but it was just as smooth and crisp. Of course this was a recent LPK I put into my AR from DPMS.

Have I mentioned I have all the tools to build AR's? I do all my own work on my stuff and even helped a few other guys.
