CB Question

So I have this CB ^ ^ ^ a PA speaker and 4' antenna but no coax cable. I'm wanting to buy some coax cable offline but not sure what to get. Is it all pretty much a universal size or does each CB have its own specific size wire and connector? I tried google but came up empty handed. Thanks for any input

CB coax is CB coax. It'll all be the same size, just make sure you get the right connectors for the CB and the antenna. It'd be a good idea to take the CB and antenna into the shop with you. Good luck!

I hate to say it, but......Radio Shack should have pre fabbed cable there. Any 50 ohm coaxial cable would work. I made my own out of RG-58. Check out radioshack.

EDIT: If going with dual antennas (pointles IMO) you want 75 ohm.

 

Make sure you get enough too. I needed 17.5ft of my 18ft coax.

I hate to sound like a smart ass but all cb coax is not the same. There are different size cb coax depending on how much power you run through your setup. Rg58 is what most people use on regular cb's running 4 watts of power. Rg8 is the thicker kind if you are running more than that. I didn't mean for this to come off like I'm trying to prove you wrong I just figured I would say it in case anyone was wondering.

Absolutely, RG8 is a bit overkill unless you plan on using a foot warmer.

 

RG-8X would be a good option.

I personally run LMR200 in my mobile installs.
