Well basically the title says it all. I was getting a new driveshaft on a TSB under warranty. They have been on back order for three months. Finally got the new one in and took it to the stealership. They installed the new one and didn't even get out of the parking lot when this happened. My Question is has this happened to anybody else or am I the one in a million? now I have to wait ...again.

Over the years I have found lots of "new" parts to be broken or defective right out of the box. It's not even close to one in a million. Among them: throw out bearings, ignition switches, MAF sensors, U-joints, thermostats.....I always try to inspect or test what I can before installing. I once bought 3 thermostats from NAPA before getting one that opened at the right temp. I once pulled a cap off a new Spicer u-joint to find that one side of the post was unmachined.
