I never searched to see how long of a drive for me. Either way I'm all for going to do some trail riding.

I did blacks with the factory cookie sheets, they pound flat pretty easily. @Rebelimo and I straightened them out as we went. The factory aluminum steps are a little more difficult to straighten out. If you pick good lines your oil pan and front differential will be fine.

Blacks! so what am I sweating then lol. Gotta give rausch a try. Everyone here paints it as this haunted place that's there to mess ur rig up haha. I'm sure it's fun, but I'm also sure you can easily get too over confident and mess things up

Sliders, rear bumper, front skid, lifted
    Will do.

There's a big variety there. Only take trails you feel confident in doing and take it slow. I've only been there once but I saw a decent variety of trails, certainly not all of which I wheeled. I didn't do any real damage. Just skid damage. But that's due to me being a shitter as well as my stuff stock suspension.

Rausch it what you make it out to be. I did blues with a lift and 31's and that's it. I've also bent stuff on the very same trails with 33's sliders and full skids. It's all about picking lines and using your head. Also go at your pace. If you can't get over something don't fight it. Stop, back up and try another line

Most guys drive 2plus hours to wheel

    3 hours from you

I need a blue/green group so come on with ya bad self

Read below... i was always scared if rausch until I got thrown into being a trail leader. I set the pace and even the little I knew about wheeling impressed those I led... granted it was all greens but I had to spot people the whole time and I didn't need a spotter

100% learned first hand first trip out lol

Just drove 4 hours last night after work to pick up a spare tire. Went 10 hours of driving on Sat for a flea market.
Only 3 hours away you could totally do. Just camp or find a motel/hotel if you're not the long-distance driving type.

My first trip to rausch was greens and blues in snow and ice with nothing but tires. I didn't even have the stock skids. Do you have the stockers? I ran them for quite a long time on many trips. You will have a great time I promise you.

That's right. Most of the times we gotta drive a couple of hours to get to cool places. No biggie
