Yeah the help is appreciated. I posted else where and the answer was a full 4 wheel alignment including thrust adjustment was needed. I'm just not sure there is a shop in Elko Nevada that does 4 wheel alignments.

I haven't even heard of a 4 wheel alignment before.... but I wonder how that would help the measurements to become equal?

Yeah im not sure either. I just talked with the shop that typically does my alignments and they said there is no rear adjustments. Which is what i thought in the first place. Not sure what to do.

Do you think you would have the same problem if you didn't to an AAL and just replaced the whole leaf system in general?

When you installed did the aal have a left and right, and are they labeled which side of the spring should be pointed towards the front? Also measuring to the wheel well isn't a great point to measure to as the beds aren't always bolted down perfectly aligned, they are made so try can be shifted front to back and left to right. I would try measuring center pin of the leafs to a known point on the frame like the leaf spring mounts or the body mounts and compare side to side. Hopefully that helps.

Yep. that helps. I was trying to line up the measurement from the front of the axle straight to the spring connections. I was only using the wheel well as a double check. I'll try from the center pin as well. I double checked the AAL last night and each of the three leaves appear to be installed the correct direction and this kit was not side specific. I just need to fiddle with it a bit more. wish I had a vehicle lift as that would make this exercise a little easier.

I would actually measure from the center of the rear axle to the center of the front wheel hub. I think this measurement will do a better job of telling you if the front and rear tires are tracking together. Otherwise I don't think the springs will make any difference.

I have not had time to retorque the u bolts again, but realized that I never posted a picture after the AAL install. so here is how it sits. 5100s @.85 in the front, wheelers Offroad 3leaf aal and summo springs in the rear. It is the perfect amount of lift for me. The ground is sloping in the picture, but the rear sits 3/4 to 1 inch higher than the front.

Looks really nice! Will the AAl settle like the stock springs? I seem to remember that being an issue with the 2nd gen trucks. Looking into this set-up down the road. I've noticed that even the weight of the topper leads to this...

Yes. it settled a little under 1/2. I figure if it settles too much more I'll just buy new center pins and install the overloads back in.

    Mostly stuff I built.
Think I found a a fix for my saggy rear on mine to day while working on my sliders. A year or so ago I put new springs on the front of my crawler. The new front springs were Dakar heavy rears for a '85 Toyota (AKA Rears up front). I pulled the double overload springs and the "heavy" add-a-leaf and kept them. They look as though they will replace the factory overloads perfectly and provide some lift.

What diameter was the center pin of the 2016? If you recal...

I don't recall. I think I tossed the factory ones as well but I will check.

Sweet. Any adventures with the new bumper recently? I saw you went and cut a tree the other week.
