just about all tires suck ass in slush and ice. Duratracs the first 20k miles did great but after that no different then most others I've owned. no experience with the mtr's
Im actually more , more thinking of getting Duratracs again. Im at around 40k on them and have put them through some shit. the tread life is still there and they still pulled me through some icy slushy crap last weekend.

ABS is dissabled for wheeling. Does more harm than good. And you are only seeing one angle.

Honestly anyone can get any tire they want. Doesn't affect my mood. I just really don't like MTRs on my rig by comparison to others I have used.

Good to know, i like seeing reviews on this. Tires are important to me. Did you let off the brakes to come down the spot. Your tires are rolling meaning not locked why i thouogh abs. I really need to do that mod.

Yeah ABS was definitely disabled. Wheels were locked and it got scary when it started to go sideways.

It's weird because I usually get excited watching guys move backwards on ice.

I had that happen to me in the mud. Slid a ways back down a hill torward a steep drop but hole puckered. Abs sucks. But im not sure it would of been much different with out it. Heavy truck on a slippery slope = but pucker.lol

So I came down the hill twice. The first time I didn't click over into 4wd in time and by the time I was on the ice the 4wd light was still flashing and not engaged. So I stopped and backed down the hill very slowly (you can see my backup lights).
The second attempt I didn't have enough momentum to clear it and started spinning mid way up and it pitched me to the cliff side. So I ended up locking the brakes and you can see drivers side tires are not spinning at all. As I was sliding I pitched the steering wheel passenger in a hope that it would get me away from the cliff side (which it did) but also made me slide sideways-backwards-ish into the dirt berm. Once the front tire hit the berm my sphincter went back to normal size and released the Wet Okole to return to it's normal place.

@jberry813 so your saying Hancock's are the way to go. Im going to be buying a new set soon. And will be going Snowboarding alot this season if all goes as planned. Would you say there better over duratrax for snow and wet weather driving but still a good off road tire. Since you have experience with alot of that type of driving, i would value your knowledge.

If your goal is good snow/wet weather traction and wheeling less than 25% of your miles, I would do Duratracs. Great hybrid AT tire with excellent snow traction and big enough lugs to pull through the sticky stuff.

Ahhhhhhh. That explains your original quote.
