Shaw came back in that game with a big road rash on his nose and cheek

 

That made me warm and fuzzy inside lol

 

Fuck marchand. I play pickup with his cousin and he looks the same, sounds the same, and is really good so I take pride in trying to cover him. Tripped him 4 times last Friday the little fuck

 

Tough luck for Shaw, he should know better than to extend like that and leave himself vulnerable. I think that is a totally clean hit, IMO.

Side note, Pens though. Putting up 4 or 5 in a period is normal now. Plus, Murray shutty. Good times.

Thing of beauty... Shaw hung himself out to dry. Good to see them not hand out a suspension for a hockey play.

 

Yeah the leading with the shoulder saved his ass. Good call by the NHL. If they start calling that it's going to get too tight. May as well ban open ice hits then.

 

Any of you guys play? I started playing again a few years ago out in Simi Valley, CA.. Took 10+ years off, now I'm skating 2-3 day a week between league games and pick ups. Hockey is a hell of a drug.

Yeah there's 4-5 guys here that still play regularly. Lots of people here too though who have never played any high level hockey but love to talk about what they would do if they were a GM lol. Either way is good.

I still have my equipment but I rarely get out onto the ice playing. I referee a good chunk of minor hockey though. Keeps me in the game and it's fun. Well, fun if you have a backbone for idiots on the bench lol, I kid most coaches now are actually pretty good.

Ya, still playing. This is the first pic I found, nothing cool (black uni). It's fun, good exercise and strokes the ego a bit when you pull off something sweet, on the ice lol. Just hurts a little more the day after, now lol.
