whooaoaoaa luni how about you calm down bud....

first get your facts straight! I NEVER had any problems with anything he posted regarding photos. I never said his photos were any different in fact i said they were NOT any different than the others posted on here. and i said that because he acted like they were full of opsec...so he blacked out the eyes of the soldier and not the other soldier???? as if the lack of eyes was going to stop anyone from identifying someone!

And i read the whole thread so i WAS aware of the conversation. My point was that he was on here acting like everyone was posting up OPSEC material and he was better than that. Nothing i have ever posted up on here is opsec. i can only speak for myself. a lot of things are considered when making something opsec, not just the fact that it is a fighting hole. not every pic of a fighting hole is opsec!

and for your info this is actually the first time i have EVER posted photos on line or anywhere. the only reason i did here is because this is a great forum and this was a thread for us military guys and this is an awesome way for guys to deal with "stuff" through friendly reminiscing. I have NEVER once bragged about missions and "cool" stuff that i was a part of. the folder on my myspace that i use to psot these folders is held as "PRIVATE". I dont have anything to prove with friends that i know but here it is different. there is no one to impress because we have all been there. so we do it for the comaraderie.

Before you go lableing someone, have something to back it up. 08trdsport said that we were all posting up opsec stuff and he was above that. then he posted stuff which showed he was a joke. if he really thought it was opsec he wouldnt have showed it at all and if he thought it was opsec and still wanted to show it then he would have blacked out the whole face of both individuals instead of that cheesy thing he did. it wreaks of someone young and immature in the service.

not everyone sees the threads post by post. sometimes i get on here and have to read 3 pages to catch up on a thread and then post. so what if its a little late is that ok with you????? I didnt know you were the police on what was an appropriate amount of time that you can post in.

As for the Omission thing, i said "people like you" lie by omission. i was saying that people that church stuff up to be bigger than it really is are the ones out there saying stuff like he did. do i have proof??? no but his words lead me to believe that. and that is how i stated it. so dont blow my words out of proportion and say things about me based on thing you made up.

Nobody wanted him to tell any information or show any pics! i NEVER said that in anyway shape or form but you are making it soudn like i did. My statement was pure and simple... stop churching it up and making it look like we are all on here posting opsec information and that he is above that. plain and simple. thats the stuff the little privates do when they go home and talk to thier friends. "sorry i cant show you some of these pics because its opsec". I am not saying he did or does that, i am saying that so far with what he has said he his showing signs of that type of behavior.

and when did this become a Marine/Army thing? why do you have to make the Full Metal jacket remark? sounds like someone has a little hostility towards another service. well bro i got nothing against the Army so sorry i cant return an insult back at you. I got good buds in the Army and many of them laughed at this thread when i mentioned it to them.

And as for this thread not needing "US" I'm sorry but it was doing just fine till someone came and started yelling OPSEC when it really didnt apply and acting like we were all doing somehting wrong and they were better then that and not to mention when it was said it was a little condescending.

But hey we can all live on and continue from where we were before 08trdsport started bagging on our good times here. I love you all and am clicking my red heels wishing this thread will return to the picture thread it used to be:) Lets just be friends...

    Let me start...
We had a CAG Gunny out with us and we stopped at a TCP to have a city council meeting but we all know how that goes:) nothing gets done because they are all just the puppets.

anyways the CAG Gunny had a head that was no shit shaped like this watermelon and we couldnt stand the guy becasue he no shit let a BOLO come into the meeting and leave without telling us because he was a bleeding heart. Not joking he had paperwork filed on him. so we decided to have a little fun:eek: well i enjoyed it:D

It all just depends on the unit and what they ended up getting for thier troops. some Commanders go with what they got and and some pull strings to try and get stuff before they take off. and the really good ones try to get more stuff while in country. I say commanders but in the Marines its the Company Gunny who provides the logistic role. Having the Commmander behind your back helps a lot though:)

that also depends on the command. usually its not a problem but you accept responsibility for your own gear. RCO is supplied for every weapon and a pistol grip should be as well also PAC 4s and PAC 2s. most of the gear for the rifle is usually available in the armory and taken with on deployment. but if you got some highspeed low drag stuff no ones gonna bitch unless your command is jacked up.

I had a company issue M68 on my M4 but the pistol grip and forward grip (when I ran one) were mine. A new division took over command and put out an order that "Aftermarket equipment" was causing negligent discharges and the armorer made me pull my pistol grip and replace it with a standard one. I almost bought my own ACOG since I was one of the only guys on the line without one while all the TOC guys were sitting inside trying to keep the dust off theirs.

I know a lot of guys that had extra equipment on their weapon just so it was accounted for. One guy had a 203 with electronic sight but no 203 rounds and no battery in the sight. Just about everyone ran an IR laser that didn't have batteries or wasn't zeroed. I guess that's what happens when Field Artillery gets a light infantry mission. Command was more concerned with weapons being cleaned than zeroed properly.

Here is one with me and Chuck Norris!!!

The other is of the guys living on ship, very crowded, how many Marines fit in a two foot space?

The last one is of me by our Battalion Aid Station, I was a Corpsman with 3rd Battalion 1st Marines in OIF.

Thanks to all those overseas and keeping those of us at home safe from those bastards.

Whats up man, when were you with 3/1? I was a corpsman with Charlie co. 1/4 from 03 - 08. I got some real good friends that were corpsman with the thundering third. Gonzo from India, Rosario from PSD and Bradley from CAAT. Also did you know Chief White? Well senior now... How bout the photographer Lucian Read? He was embedded with us for the Battle of Najaf and then he went up north to Fallujah for the battle there. He's the one that took the picture of then 1stSgt. Kasal. Good to see a fellow grunt corpsman. Is it weird that I kinda miss Horno?
