Here is a video clip I took yesterday of the "knock" that I now have. Jacked the truck up this morning and couldn't get anything to "wiggle" or make that sound again. at 26 seconds is the first time it happens and then at 38 seconds and a few times after that. help...

My trucks makes all kinds of noises. Turn the radio up and don't worry about it until it stop going forward when you press the skinny pedal.

 

Lol mine makes plenty more but this one is a new one and comes from an area i dont want to have an issue

 

It's weird it happened randomly not when your suspension cycled. Do you have a GoPro?

 

I don't. It happens when I hit bumps in the road. If I'm not mistaken I think it had started when we were leaving the trails at Choccolocco. On our path out I had Brad's shackles on the front of the truck that I had used to pull a tree with earlier and I had assumed it was those "rattling" every time I hit a bump...

 

Oh I didn't know it happened when you hit a bump... jacking the truck up and wiggling stuff probably won't help you because it's taking a lot more force to cycle whatever part is making the noise than you can produce. I'd just keep an eye on it and see if it gets worse or louder, go grease all your suspension parts and break out the torque wrench and check everything wouldn't be a bad idea. I could probably check for torque on all my front end suspension parts in about 30 min including taking both front tires off.

 

If i dont figure out or dont have any issues before saturday i will have brian and justin and rob and whoevers there take a look with me.

 

Any opinions on the smittybilt rtt? Offered a guy $500 for one local and going to look at it tomorrow afternoon.

 

When you Jack it up also Jack the suspension up, ie Jack stands on the frame and Jack under tire, then try prying/moving whatevering parts.

 

hm, good point. I only jacked it up with my hi-lift on the slider so all the suspension drooped..

 

I'm having a rough week...

 

We'll go for a drive first and go from there. By the end of the day, you may have to buy a supercharger to fix the problem... JS
