I wasnt trying to be argumentative either The back off 1/8-1/4 turn is pretty common. When we get riggers from construction companies and the such they were trained to do that. Think in their case its more cause they often arent lifting heavy loads and are moving loads as fast as possible. Our standard practice is to go till it bottoms out, back it off a quarter turn, then thread it back in till it lightly is seated fully. But as you said we are doing overhead rigging with cranes with stuff we really dont want to drop so we have lots of strict rules with rigging.

 

2003 C5 RS6 owned for 3yrs and very high knowledge of that specific vehicle.

Ever dealt with queen city auto rebuild? I noticed they're the only Audi certified repair shop in the Puget sound region.

 

Nope, my RS was accident free.
From I from what I remember, that is the ONLY place to go for factory spec Audi repairs.
Stealerships will not even touch any type of repair unless its a simple bolt in or shock change, etc.

 

Well that's where i sent my truck. also know a guy that works there. I figured if they work on Porsches and Audis, they can handle a Tacoma.

 

RnR in Bellevue is also top notch. That's where my Lexus will be next week.

Quick question. Do I want to attach this bracket to the leaf spring bolt or do away with it? It was attached to a bracket on the overload leaf which is removed now.

 

Looks like an ebrake cable, no?

I'd attach it, otherwise you're going to have no tension when you apply the ebrake.

This will be a $3800 fix ($1200 of which is the damn headlight which is, for some reason, a mounting point for the bumper).

 

Yes it is. Just want to make sure attaching it to the leaf spring won't rip it off. I don't know how much it will flex compared to the overload or if it even matters?

 

You can if you want, don't have to. Mine is attached, Dakota doesn't have his attached. Just make sure it isn't being stretched if attaching it or make sure it won't get caught on something if not

 

I've been running mine attached with an AAL for a while now, no issues.

I'm not afraid of the skinny pedal either
