How many cans of Rustoleum did you use? No primer needed before?

I bought 4, used 3. Probably could have gotten away with 2 but I tend to over do stuff. I didn't use primer. I have a friend that does body work and said I shouldn't need it.

@C4 Fabrication sliders! They're great. I welded mine on because I prefer the weld, but they are shipped as bolt on and work equally good bolted on

BAMF bolt-ons here. Painted with VHT spray epoxy which held up .. OK .. After 2 years it's time to pull them and repaint.

I smashed my rocker panel up good a few months ago. After I get it fixed I'll be buying a set of these. What's your lead time on ordering?

GlennR It looks like you went with the same factory textured finish I did on the DOM versions. They look awesome and are really nice to step onto when hopping in mine with the lift.

I had mine delivered raw and had them powder coated locally. Both models are DOM, the APEX just has insert. I will say this, I know they will support the truck and not collapse that is for sure.

I think the MobTown and AllPro both look really nice and are both well made. The important thing is having them. I know I don't have to worry about door dings at the mall anymore (sort of kidding, but not really). I chose the All Pro just because I had them before and knew what I was looking at installation wise.

I and everyone I know use the rustoleum self etching primer. I used 1 can per slider. I also used 1 can on my front skid along with 1 can of the bed coating for each side. Whatever you do, don't buy the duplicolor bed spray. I regret using that on my sliders immensely. I'm almost considering stripping down my sliders and repainting them but they're welded on so that's an entire weekend job for me

I used 4-5 on mine no primer. But for some reason I never made it half way through each can because they kept spraying clear after a while.

I also added some grip to mine. Since I'll be standing on them from time to time. Should also help with wear getting in and out.

I was thinking about adding some sort of grip but currently am undecided and leaning towards not using any. Not sure how long you've had it on and am curious how it will hold up over 12+ months? Also wasn't sure how well the dirt would clean off of it. When I thought of something like skateboard tape it always faded pretty bad and dirt stuck to it like glue.
