Being an avid offroader I have purchased over 25,000 in aftermarket parts for my Rubicon.

    20160313_115132.jpg
Thus far I have spent well over 8,500 on my 6 month old Tacoma.

    20161029_183349-01.jpg
With plans to drop a lot more on it.
    20161203_180347.jpg
My experiences with many aftermarket companies have been less then stellar. For instance I have bought from Smittybuilt a well known company in the jeep realm for years. I received a rear bumper with the tire carrier. Their most expensive one. One day driving home on the freeway I heard a loud thud. My tire carrier released and found my 35" tire slamming into the side of my jeep. I thought maybe I didn't latch it all the way and got out to ensure it was latched properly, only to have it happen many more times. Smittybuilt had a poor design on the latch. When I contacted them on it they blew it off as if their was nothing wrong with it. Searching forums I found my case was not isolated at all. Everyone was having the same issues. I took the bumper off and bought a poison spyder rear bumper and never had an issue with it again. Took the loss but would never buy a Smittybuilt product again.
A collective of members felt the same and as a group (forums) we can help each other make educated and informed decisions to help one another make sound purchases. Which leads me to MOBTOWN products. This is a top notch company and I just want to let the forums know when you buy from MOBTOWN you will not be disappointed. American made and customer service like I have personally never experienced. These guys rock!! So in closing I'd like to thank all forum members for their continued guidance and opinions which help us all make sound purchases. Give me your experience with good companies. So together we can help one another upgrade with confidence. Again I'd like to thank Joe with MOBTOWN for help in my buying experience and personalized service which truly makes a customer feel like a king.

You come from the Jeep world and bought Smittybuilt? Do you even offroad Bro? I wouldn't even buy a smittybuilt shackle..

    +1 for Mobtown as well

I think most of the vendors on TacomaWorld seem pretty decent.

For 4 wheeling vendors I'm a huge fan of 4wd.com and poison spyder products, MORE, ECGS, etc

I've had some great experiences, some not so great. I'll focus on the former and give shoutouts to:

    - lowrangeoffroad.com and allprooffroad.com (single order/product, communication with both)
    - frontrunneroutfitters.com
    - camping-boxes.com
    - elementoutfitters.com and partnersteel.com (single order/product, communication with both)
    - relentlessfabrication.com
    - @ProForce

(for some of the above I've yet to receive products that I ordered - waiting for manufacturing - but early interactions have been very positive)

    And some locals:

    - service departments in both New Westminster's Westcoast Toyota and Vancouver's Regency Toyota & Scion
    - cruisinoffroad.com

@HeadStrong Off-Road offroad is my preferred choice. Could list some reasons but I don't have a free hour atm.

Sometimes a good company can disappoint if you stray from their "core competency". For example, I'm happy with my All-Pro bumper, the fit and weld quality are pretty good, but they outsource their powdercoating. After 4 years the powdercoating bubbled and flaked off in large chunks. I'm happy with my Icon coilovers, but they outsource their spring mfg. One of the coil ends wasn't ground parallel, and it snapped after 3 years. Icon's customer service was quite good and sent me a replacement spring without trouble.

@CBI Offroad Fab has been nothing but a pleasure to work with on my build. Top notch quality and even better customer service. Wheelers of road has also always been great to work with.

I must say. I have also ordered from @Mobtown Offroad and my experience has been stellar!

Any questions I had were answered almost immediately. Logistics were handled quickly even after I changed my mind and wasn't able to come pick up my products. Very pleased. My truck even made it onto their website! When you shop 05-15 tacoma skid plates (IFS/TRANS), thats my truck!
