Lots, about to sell it and come back to Tacoma though.
I'm not new to black vehicles as I have had several including a 2003 Tacoma TRD that I loved (but didn't go offroad and it was metallic).
It looks like some of you are regretting getting this non metallic black though due to scratches showing up. Are any of you off roaders especially regretting it?

Not much off roading for me and the scratches are a real problem.

I am very careful with my truck (very anal actually). I wash my truck by hand 3-4 times a month (2 bucket method) and have never taken it to a car wash. I have also waxed it twice in the past 6 months. Truck is also garaged and I am amazed everyday at the amount of scratches this paint shows.

To the average eye, it probably looks fine. But to "car guys" that like to take care of their cars, this is a real PITA.

It's a work in progress. See my build thread.

I'm not an off roader but even so I have swirl marks and scratches all over . I can't stand it . Definitely regret getting black sometimes. Black is high maintenance for sure.

Polishing once every few months will take care of most of the swirls and scratches though . I also discovered touch less automatic car wash facilities in my town . They don't use any brushes at all . Just good chemicals and hot water pressure washers , spot free water and air dryer .

Also when you take your truck for service at the dealership or anywhere , don't accept the free wash !! Omg those detailers don't give a shit about your truck . I saw one of the detailers using the same DIRTY rag for all the cars he was wiping down . It really pissed me off. I'm sure he used it on mine bc I definitely noticed more small swirl marks on my trucks paint .

I would trade in for a white or silver Tacoma but the losses in a trade in are a hard pill to swallow .
