I would say it's a good deal. I've seen just e-locker 3rds go in the $500 range. This includes everything.

But I'm still partial to ARB. I'm not a fan of having a locker relying on an electronic gizmo. It will fail.

I haven't had problems and this is my second rig with ARB's. Just run enough slack in the line and run it high so it doesn't get snagged.

Sounds like a good excuse to come up with a reason to not buy.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    Annnnnd I'm keeping this quote.

Yea I've got a first gen.

488s definitely are better for autos and finding gear etc compared to the 456s in this evelevation an weight.

Done a bit of research also

I would sacrifice a little bit of potential mpg's for better longevity of my transmission.

:jerkoff:. Currently creeping around www.EastCoastGearSupply.com , where the e locker was done, for more info. Not ruling anything out just yet, although getting an axle installed with a busted e-locker would be :tinfoilhat::rain:.
    :jerkoff:
Glad I wasn't the only one....
So 456s on auto at ocean level, any idea what effect that'll have?

4.56's will do just fine. And it won't affect much on a pre-runner. Lower gearing has more impact on 4x4's when rock crawling.

Still have to talk to my friend but we would probably meet off right near the freeway exit? Have you been before? I can pull it up on google maps for you if you haven't

There is a standalone switch for 150. Full axle swap is easy.

Haven't heard too many issues with the ARB air lockers other than from installation error. The elocker like @Ackrite mentioned has pesky electrical components that will fail eventually. But that's the ironic thing, the air lockers run of an electric compressor which has fuses, solenoid, motors, etc that can fail. So pick your poison. You can however run your locker off co2 which eliminates electrical issues. I've always been a fan of analog myself.

Easy fix and usually caused by installation snafus

Edit: ecgs is tits. Great, reliable outfit. I've talked to them on the phone and they take me to college every time. Very generous with their help.
