I want to thank everyone who offered their opinions on gear ratios the other day. Tomorrow I go under the knife, and have been researching this shit non stop since Sunday when I got home. I have been uncertain on ratio to get. I think I am leaning 4.56 this AM, rather than 4.10, heres why. 2 charts for reference

With stock gears (3.73) on 265/75/16 which is 1 size larger than stock, about a 31.5" tire I think, I am running at 65 mph, about 2600-2700 RPM in 4, which is the 1:1 ratio, and 1900-2000 in D, which is the OD gear. Which feels a bit underpowered while cruising down the road.

I plan on 33's next. My truck is heavy, armored, and haul a RTT air brake

SO, 33's on 4.10 gears would be 2720 RPM in 4 (1:1), and 2000 +/- rpm in OD (based on rpm difference I have now, about 700 rpm drop in OD)

with 4.56, once I get on 33's, I should be at 3018 rpm in 4 (1:1), and 2300 rpm +/- in OD at 65. I dont think thats horribly high rpms for highways cruising, and will have more power due to the ratios.

I will suffer a bit until I do go to 33s, but that wont be too far down the road.

Thoughts, opinions, constructive criticisms please, now is the time.
