the first 40 minutes of it were like that show "the office" but not funny, they should have cut that junk to about 10 minutes, I was worried the whole movie would be that way...

I loved to movie though but that stuff was distracting because it didn't seem sincere like a real documentary, what I mean is every line sounded like it was scripted and delivered by an actor, plus there was that nagging feeling that the whole movie was going to be like that. when that crap was over it was a lot better.

I still thought it was a good movie and would recommend it.

Movie was pretty lame. They tried to make those gross bottom-feeder crawfish the protagonists, but it is hard to like characters that are so fucking disgusting

Those treucks were cool. There was a thread at ExPo about them. I thought the movie was good after hearing it was crap from a couple people. I like to be the judge myself. I could handle the CGI in that. Waaaaaaay too much for me in Avatar though (like the whole thing). There are 100 other movies I would rather watch again than that one. Yes, I saw it in 3D but my vision doesn't react well to it.

It took a while for the movie to get going for me. But I liked it, I would have changed the person for the main actor though did not care much for him in the roll he played. Truck was siiiiick though!

Interesting you say that, as that whole part was improved and the rest of the movie was obviously more "slicked and streamlined" to move the plot along.

Also, "like the office but not funny"? When was the office ever funny? That tripe is only funny to the same group of people who think the Geico caveman and E-Trade baby commercials are funny.

The first 40 minutes or so of the movie was the best part, giving it some authenticity and allowing it to ring disturbingly close to home in the corporate world we live in. It also carried some interesting shades of the constant ethnicity/tribal warfare you see all over Africa and South Africa's previous struggles with apartheid.

I'm saddened some people weren't able to appreciate the craftsmanship that went into that section. And 99% of the time I call the arts out for what they are: glorified masturbation by the artist with little to no value to anyone else.

Regardless, one of the best movies of 2009 and definitely in the running for best sci-fi flick of the year (the Star Trek reboot was hardcore good too, in a different fashion). Most of the "bad" comments are going to stem from overhormoned, under attention-spanned young men who just want to see shit blow up.
