My trucks getting delivered in a few days. I've had 2 extangs on 2nd gen tacos now, but bothered the extang trifold leather model. They have been great for me, and I like that in a minute, I can simply fold up and take it off when I need the bed.

How hard is it to remove the solid folds? Same as the trifolds?
I like the idea of the hard cover now with the locable tailgate. Just worried about the functionality when needing to put something big in the bed.

    None... sigh
It's not hard to take off, just fold it up to the cab, clip it in with the fastek buckles, and then loosen the two wing nuts.

My Solid Fold leaks, not a huge deal but it does. I've already had to replace the rear section of the cover. When it was installed, it was over tightened and caused large dents that would hold water. Also had to replace both of the seals along the hinge between the center and rear sections. The main leaks come from the sides due to the texturing put on the bed rails. Make sure to ask for the foam seals that fill the gaps between the bed rails right behind the cab. It's a pain to get that rail off, but the foam does help keep some water out.

IMG_0597.jpg I have the Extang encore and I've run it through the car wash a hand full of times. Only leakage I have is right the tailgate and that leakage is probably coming through the tail gate, not the cover. Takes 2 minutes to remove for full bed access.

I would not do the Solid Fold 2.0 until they fix the issue they have been having with the top skin bubbling up... My buddy is on his 3rd replacement one now and might be getting a fourth.. Mine is an older model (narrower than the existing 2016 model).. I think it was from the 2Gen tacos... Mine has a couple of dents where the foam on the second piece lays on the front piece.... Had this from factory.... No bubbling yet.... I'm watching....
Warranty is "replacement" only.... my buddy would like $ back and buy a different brand, but that is not going to happen....!!

Stay away from the 2.0 Solid Fold.
