Had a good time...until I tried to get home! On the north side of Highway 154 in Pickett State Park, came up to about a 3' diameter tree that had fallen across the road! Had to go all the way back to Jamestown to call it in to the Sheriff, then had to go up U.S. 127 to Albany, Ky., to cut across on 90 to get to home! Added almost 60 miles to my drive, and I didn't get home until 3:30 Eastern! Such fun...

We should definitely have another TW gathering. Maybe start up a bi-monthly dinner meet?

Driving's more fun when you aren't wandering around at 2 A.M. on unfamiliar roads...thank goodness the fog had cleared up.

What surprises me the most is the fact that when I called the Pickett County Sheriff, about 40 minutes after being turned around by the tree, was the fact that NO ONE else had called it in before me!

I thought about it but right now I'm only going to have to pay $525 for the whole semester because of scholarships. If I add more classes I have to pay more $$

Not sure about your personal status. But if you have student loans, I think you have to be at least half-time (usually 6 hours) to keep them in deferment status.

With my undergraduate degree done, I did some thinking about the cost. So I looked up the tuition and fees that were paid to MTSU. The total for 9 semesters over 3 years was $41,649.75, of which the Post 9/11 GI Bill paid $41,559.75... = $90 to me for a $10 per semester fee the VA wouldn't cover.
I came to the conclusion that serving has its sacrifices, but it also has benefits. :oldglory: Add in the books and supplies and college is FUCKING EXPENSIVE!!!

A buddy of mine flunked a semester, and they made him repay his scholarship and aid money before he could reenroll.

I don't have any student loans thankfully. Since I'm starting PA school in June or October I'm using all of my "free time" next semester to make money that I can live off of for PA school. You're not permitted to even work part time.
