Yeah I'm still bummed out a bit. That shipping cost left a bad taste in my mouth. If it was mentioned at the beginning, no biggie, but when I got that invoice I initially thought "well they obviously messed that up" but no they kinda just snuck in the the double shipping charge, that's not how you do group buys, or running a business for that matter

 

Exactly the same reason I got mine lol

 

My shipping was nearly $300 to Texas on the 165. I even asked about getting shipped to a business and was told it wouldn't make any difference :/ Now in hindsight, I don't think it would have mattered... My office doesn't have a loading dock. But again, would have been nice if that had been communicated. My wife works in a warehouse, easily could have had it shipped there had I known.

 

I didn't even know the group buy was available here. I found it on Instagram. I didn't even see this thread until mid Nov. Looks like the OP only registered on TW just to post the buy. I don't see any other history for him. He's affiliated with Overlanding USA

 

I don't think he's a brand manager. Just some bloke that has a YouTube channel -- at least according to his IG page

 

I mean, I can't really fault him. He put together a decent deal. Just poorly communicated and misleading

That sucks, had a similar issue. My replacement is supposed to be here today though

 

I had two holes in mine but they were both in the areas with the protective board so that was lucky!

would you guys feel more comfortable if i email you pictures of the tents when i put them in the truck before they ship over?

For those that unfortunately haven't had the same experience for whatever reason I do apologize.

 

Unfortunately the tent will be in the corner of my office until I get a trailer to mount it on, haha. Most people buy the trailer first then the tent but I am a little different. I did un-pack it yesterday just to make sure everything was good.

 

that was my first thought as well hopefully its nothing major
