See below. My wife claims that as she was backing out of the garage (the door is pretty narrow, but wide enough that I can park my 4Runner in there without issue) that the back end slipped on some ice and went down the hill. Enough to catch the edge of the bumper on the frame of the garage, and pull the bumper apart.

Ironically about a week or so prior (you know, before the freezing stuff started) I sent @GSPRunner a picture of some white paint transfer on the other side of the bumper, and noticed some paint missing on the other side of the garage door. When I asked my wife about it she swore up and down that she didn't hit the garage.

After this latest incident, she now only swears that she didn't notice she hit it.

    Sigh
Luckily our deductible is "only" $500. So the $3800 repair will cost "just" $500.

Apparently Lexus thought it would be a stellar idea to use the top of the headlight as a mounting point for the bumper. Of course that mounting point was broken off.

    A new headlight is $1300

Yep. A as in one. Singular. $1,300 includes having the chip protect film installed too. So I guess the headlight itself is "only" $1180.

I'm sure my estimate was way high since they know insurance is paying it.

    But still. lol

Are you transferring to JBLM, or moving to Yelm by choice? What out for the J.Z. Knight cult

In case it helps, I'm rocking gray DCLB, but it's 06, and dodge. Sits up a bit higher too. I still miss my 11 MGM ACLB, but I don't miss the lack of power.
One of these days, I need to make it west to drink beer and see you guys again. I might be going back home for work soon. Still up in the air, but heard from the guy who hired me that he might have a project working nights in a Target fall into his lap, and none of his other guys want to do it. Also he has work kicking off in spring he has me slated for, and maybe once a week, have me show up in other places because I have my electrical license and none of the rest of the guys do. We shall see what happens, but I am going to make it clear that if I am going to nights, I want 4x10 not 5x8 schedule.

JBLM. The dude helping us house hunt told us of the cult out there but said they really keep to themselves and dont display much or seek out actively all the time.

plus i have enough guns and ammo that i can defend the home fort if need be...haha

it looks like it's just down the road though!

on a side note, do you use the side mirror heaters often? I may ask for your assistance if they actually help living in WA and all. Ive seen it done, but never wanted to do it since down south we dont have that issue very often...
