For a first gen 4.88 and 33's is perfect

 

I'm assuming the regear will give me the best use of power over the current gears while using 33's?

 

Yup. You can run 33's and feel the loss in power and make a decision if its worth it to regear, but if you want to add locker(s) then you might as well do it anyway. I wouldn't do a front locker unless you carry a spare CV and spare tie rods though

ECGS is the best place to go too, built thirds are the cheapest/easiest to swap in! Thats where I got mine

Built thirds?.... Yes, I'm serious, I don't know what that means...Lol

 

East coast gear supply. They assemble the third members so all you have to do (or pay someone to do) is swap the third members. Then you send yours back. Much easier than taking yours out, setting up the gears (lot of work) then putting yours back in.

 

Air lockers are a ways a way yet but here is a question. If you already have a rear E-locker, does it make sense to just get a front air locker or is there a benefit to having both front and rear air lockers?

 

Nope just keep the rear E locker then a front ARB. @dakotasyota, @TacoSTIG have that setup.

It's fast and easy, and I'm paranoid about salt, given the Taco propensity for rust. as I intend to keep this truck for a long time.
I should, perhaps clarify what I mean by wash, is really, rinse. I either go to the brown bear and use the pressure washer, or just get the hose out and rinse well.
I do NOT get under and really "wash".

Urd finally responded to my order inquiries yesturday. Apparently the Doug thorley headers are on back order, which it clearly stated at my time of order and still does for that fact, that they are "in stock for immediate shipment" on their website. Y pipe is on its way, no estimate on the headers.
