    Millennials don't exist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HFwok9SlQQ
But since they do, some of are you included right where you belong. :p

On the topic of insurance companies, fuck 'em all. Every single thing you guys have said about one company or another, I have seen said about all of the others. USAA being the least negatively talked about, but ALL of the others I've seen the EXACT SAME STORIES - off-road not covered, rates jacked, dropped, etc. Even within the SAME company you will get differing/conflicting answers, or there's plenty of stories along the lines of 'sure you're covered it's fine' and either something happens or six months down the road 'yeah, because of x we're not covering this accident' or 'we're dropping you'.

And forget about 'loyalty' or your history (you too @Husky Driver - I have no experience with the supercharger aspect so I didn't reply, but I was going to talk about this and some may have missed your thread). I had the same insurance company from the time I started driving until two years ago, and only two different agents in that time period (one back in IN, one here in CO). No at-fault accidents, did have a couple of claims and a single speeding ticket years prior. 20-ish years on that policy or it's revisions, and suddenly my rate shoots up $150 every six months - 25-30% increase. Their only response was 'yeah we've been undercharging your area, we can lower your coverages if you want'. So I said fuck you Allstate, and switched to Geico at less than half what I would have been paying and for more coverage. Full story on another forum before I moved over here: I haven't had to file a claim with them yet, so who knows what'll happen when I do. I did ask specifically about 'off-road', which they don't cover, but in the context of anything for competition or 'off-road parks'. If you are on a named road, and that includes forest service roads, you're covered. They did ask about modifications, and I told them the wheels. I don't know what to say or think about all the other modifications that you guys have done, some of which I planned to do. I'm seeing a lot of stories of 'yeah you're covered or we can add it for a little bit' and then being dropped a few months later. Lots of people saying 'just don't tell them, they'll never know', but a) then the mod isn't covered, b) they could deny the claim when something does because, c) yes they will know when they investigate.

It sounds like either there has been a shift with insurance to start looking at modifications more heavily, or they're using it as the excuse to drop someone and it's not a blanket policy. We talked about this back on page 3703 and people who had reported mods weren't having issues - though on the other forum someone had talked about Progressive dropping them for it.

Hell to the yes! And while you're at it, make sure your renters policy is for replacement value, not actual. Renters covers "any of your stuff anywhere in the world" per my agent. And for $12/mo it's WELL worth it. The first and only claim I've made so far was very well handled... And paid my premiums for life.

For all of my worthwhile belongings, i have a spreadsheet that's updated when i get something. Model/serial/any warranty/price/date purchased/where any identifying marks are. As well as a folder with pictures of said items/serials.

One thing to know about insurance. it's all about demographics. the cheapest rates you can get will be from the company that currently wants your demographic.
The cheapest company while you're living in steamboat might not be the cheapest company if you were living on the front range.
    Demographics:
    Where
    Your age
    Type of vehicle
    Age of vehicle
Do you play with Choo Choo trains?
    Etc. etc.
And loyalty doesn't mean anything. at all.
If your company changes their mind on what demographic they want, they'll raise your rates or drop you. do yourself a favor and always check around every time it's time to renew.
Oh, and they're all crooks too.

Called USAA. Grandpa was an officer, and they had found his profile, which would have qualified me, but his military info wasn't on there. Close but not cigar. They have a partnership with Liberty Mutual, which quoted me nearly double what Geico was before they decided they wouldn't insure my truck.

What? You settle down. That's not gonna happen any time soon.

I tried the USAA thing and they were almost $900 higher then my current insurance. I said no thanks! We have Safeco for auto, home, and umbrella coverage.
