I've left them on for 3+ hours.

As a test I took a 9V battery (the ones in the smoke detectors) and wired it to a 3 LED strip of lights and it ran for weeks before it started to dim.

So, it sounds like leaving them on for an entire evening wouldn't kill it. What is the wattage/voltage?

Thanks for the custom request, waiting for the interior to cure as well. Painted a few pieces of interior since I had it all ripped out so I'll get you some pics in the next few days of the inside but here's the grille

I just finished installing my cool white bed lights. The install time was about 2 and a half hours, but I made extensive modifications to the kit so I could have a light in my toolbox. There's no reason why it should take more than an hour if you follow the instructions. Overall I would highly recommend this kit!

I find that I generally get along best with people that do random shit like hooking up 9V batteries to LED light strips for 3 weeks.

Bored on a Saturday? I wanna go to that guy's house.

IMG_0236.jpg IMG_0234.jpgThanks Matt!! Didn't take too long, worst was running wire from tail end to battery but not bad. Cool white. Now, what would I need to do if I wanted to upgrade with a remote? Or is it possible?

Yes the remote can be added with only a little rewiring.

Finally got a warm day off to install these. 45 minute install (25 of which is running power wire down frame). Turned out great, can't wait for the sun to go down to see it in person.

Thanks, Matt. Everything is the kit looks quality and I'm very happy with the buy.

The ONLY thought for improvement I had is: the switch wiring was a slightly smaller gauge than the rest and consequently the heat shrink on the butt-crimps didn't want to 100% seal on the wires without overheating the wire insulation. Even with that in mind, 100% satisfied!

looking at all the pictures, they all seem to be different whether its cool white or warm white. i see some cool whites that are white and some with a blueish tint. same with warm white, some are white and some are white with a yellowish tint. i want something that is basically just pure white. which one is closest to that?

Cool white has a blue-ish tint and looks like HID headlights (cool white is close to LED color)
Warm white looks like a natural sunlight / Halogen headlights.

The warm white LEDs look yellowish during the day and more white at night.

Sub'd for future purchase, but also have a question. I noted on the OP that the kit comes with heat shrink connectors, does this mean that everything is already heat wrapped or that I would need to do the heat shrinking? BTW I suck at anything and everything electrical. I had purchased something similar, but your kit looks easier to install based on the posts.

Once you crimp the crimps you would need to shrink the heat shrink connector. Another option would be to purchase liquid electrical tape and simply coat all of the connections.

I've had my light kit on my truck for years and didn't use heat shrink connectors or liquid electrical tape, still works great.

Your welcome to review the install instructions in advance.

Hi Matt are the lights fused, where do they tap power from and do they fluctuate with alternator charge or is there some sort of regulator

The lights are powered by the trucks battery and the kit includes an inline fuse holder/fuse.
