Hoop for front bumper. Going to mount a forward facing "rock cam" and may or may not hang an LED light bar off it.

My signature 2" square tube of course.

Go with the Rock Cam. Maybe you should weld-on a protective little hoop of the Cam. A "hoop within a hoop"

That's what I plan on using for my bumper rebuild. 2" square tubing. But worse welding skills

You will be good with practice. Get the welder out of the box and start running beads on scrap.

But you gotta get the right bumpstops that will somehow work with these plates. Me thinks.

Im kinda confused as to how a proper U-bolt flip is done, sometimes I see that the entire axle is put on top of the leaf pack and sometimes its just that the u-bolts are flipped upside down to get rid of the giant chunk of steel hanging down there. Wouldn't I also need to weld on new shock mounts too?

No welding required. Just remove old ubolts and the axle saddle and put ubolt plate on top of leads and install new ubolts. I recommend Wheelers superbumps. Can just drill and tap the plates to accept them.

A u bolt flip is just that. No more exposed threads able to hit rocks under the axle, they point up towards the frame.
A spring over axle conversion is when the axle either sits on top or below the leaf pack allowing for a longer leaf with more travel available. (Pending if you had relocated your shock mounts).

    Yup!

Here is a poor pic I have of my bumpstops I ran with this kit. They don't have much give vs timberens or superbumps, but on my setup they prevented the leafs from going negative.

I'll throw them in if someone wants them I used them for one wheeling trip
