So true. and that's why I still go fishing. One day I'll get lucky and land one of those.

fak, no. I wanted to release it, but it was a 10 min fight, plus another 10 trying to land it. by the time I got him up and tried to revive um, he was barely kicking.

yup, I really only got back into fishing once I moved back to the big island. started with whipping, then got turned on to plugging.

so true. this spot has the right combination of things to lure these big boys up from the deep, but I never even had a close strike til this day (but I only fished the spot for less than a month, maybe 3-5 times a week :anonymous:). just so happened the cast before the hook up, I took a pretty hard strike as soon as the lure hit the water, but never stick. next cast, this one hit the lure about 10' from my feet. since I lock my drag down tight, the fricken thing almost took me in the water. lol

Also 1 permit is for 5k pieces not 5k tau correct???

Do some research on mt90 gear... I used it and liked it... It's gl4 I believe... I ran it in the manual xmsn because some gl5s are known to erode at yellow metals... The book calls for gl4 iirc... Lmk and I'll quote you tomorrow

According to the C&C website, you can go to any satellite city hall to obtain the permit. must be filled out there. every permit costs $25 and allows you to purchase up to 5000 pieces of firecrackers (example: 1 20,000 tau, 2 10,000 tau, or 4 4,000 tau (used to be the 5,000 tau) or any combination of what is sold as long it doesn't exceed 5000 pieces. You can buy as many permits you want, but who evers name is on the permit must be present during purchase of both permit and fireworks.

    If I not mistaken I think can get 1 25000 for 1 permit. And 5, 4000.

Could be, I think it's sold as 25,000 tau now. I usually don't bother with those, and just get 2 10,000.

who needs commercial/civilian fireworks. I'm assuming you have supplies that need to be disposed of because of shelf life requirement s? or physical damage?

I lived on the north side of the island and left for a year, first time living in Ewa. I've been told to expect fireworks for the next month or two
