Do you have a rough estimate of what a final price could be? I think flippacs are like $5k?

I've just got so many questions :angrygirl: :) I'm super excited for this i can't stop thinking about the finished product

will it work with the swing out? meaning not too long compared to the bed
will it be coated or just bare metal
what size siding is it going to be
is there access wind/doors on both sides or just one?
will it have a drawer system built in or separate?

I'm hoping by Feb. The camper will be done soon, but it still needs fabric and mattresses.

    Thanks man!

Not yet, but I will disclose that once it's all done. I'm not sure what flippacs cost, but the habitat is the close to $10K with windows. Right now, as far as I know there are no clam shell type campers like this that aren't imported.

It will work with a swing out, I'm keeping my duals. In fact they can make it like a standard shell so you can keep the tail gate, but I wanted the doors for security.

The sides will be color matched to the truck. The top will be white to keep the temps low in the summer.

Siding is aluminum skin all the way around.

Both sides have two doors that swing up like win doors, the front window will have a slider for viewing while driving and ventilations. This company can do whatever you want though.

I'm going to keep mine as simple as possible. No drawers will be built it since it will still be a DD and a normal shell when not traveling.

im so excited it is such a good idea

is it bolt to the frame at all? through the bed bolts? or is it mounted like a normal camper to the rails?

Yes, they have a clamp system that goes to the factory rails. This company makes giant cab over campers, so they have the whole commercial shell thing figured out. It's part of the reason why we chose them since they know what they are doing, just adding a twist with the two part roof.

I'm just adding a penthouse to my current camper...

Seriously though, I've been talking about this with Iggy for almost a year. Started on the forum before we ever met. Iggy actually makes shit happen though. Me and my wallet are along for the ride... After having a flip over, then an accordion, the wedge is the way to go for off-roading and inclement weather camping.

Edit: started the brainstorming over a year ago. Then I got sidetracked with the 4wc. Back on track now (thanks to Iggy).

Will they include any insulation on the sidewalls? And single wall or double?

They can insulate and carpet the inside. When you do that both sides are aluminum skinned. I chose to have my roof insulated and skinned, the walls of the camper I will insulate myself. I'm only doing that because I'm wiring up on my own.

Thanks! The camper should be finished around the 16th. I'll be out of town so when I get back, more photos once it's all mounted up and finished. Then he fabric and once that's buttoned down. We can get final pricing figured out.
