I'm not shitting on this. You need to step back and reassess yourself. I think this is great and I didn't say someone would do it for free, I said "for a fee". And by allowing a monopoly to build up around this is unfair to people who would rather try it themselves or create a competing product. If you think that is unfair, welcome to capitalism. The only thing I'm ticked off about right now is I have yet to receive my refund from you in the first place.

Agree with @nickj718 on this you have said nothing but negative comments and now your telling people to go a route that has no guarantee it will work. When i got my harness i notice the wires that were not needed were un-pinned which was maybe 20 or so. So getting this i would see all the wires and freak. Not to mention i would have ZERO confidence this would be a safe and easy install.

If you dont like something dont buy it. No one is holding a gun to your head. He has a weeks time in this so i give him and Voodoo a lot of credit

Go cheap...... It always works out to the good right ..... lol not

    getting heated in here?

I don't blame the guy for wanting his money back, and I don't blame him for looking for a DIY/Less expensive option. Shit when this first got posted, I even considered it (and I don't see me needing it), it was about being a DIY cheap way of getting a remote starter. We watched it go from that to a more commercialized thing, well of course folks will be asking WTF. But seeing the interest, we need to understand why that happened as well.

That being said, it still is a very well priced option. Even so, folks are going to try to save a buck or two.

Nick, let him bitch, you said your piece and have done a great thing for the folks here at TW, ride that wave.

Had someone drop me this link in a PM too:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Directed-XP...Door-Lock-Interface-/201515307045?&rmvSB=true

$35. Looks like it might turn off when you unlock the truck rather than open the door. But other than that, looks to be the same dball2 that's pre-programmed. You might be able to contact them and ask for it to be programmed to shut off on door open instead.

I already ordered one through voodoo, but like I said, for anyone else who may want to try this on their own that might be an option too.

Sure no problem. The smart start you would get is either the 300 or 350. That comes with all the connections needed to install. All you have to do it connect the Smart Start to the Red port on the remote start unit and then follow the directions you receive with the smart start.

If you have any questions when you do it just pm me and Ill help you out. I believe you need a dealer account to do the registration so ill give you my smart start dealer info for that part or do it over the phone with you.

Voodoo has asked me to stop posting DIY ideas in this "sales" thread. So I'll sit out of this one.

Annual price depends on which version you get. The first two columns apply to the 300 and the other two are for the 350 with GPS.

    Also a little pro tip

For those thinking the GPS is cool it isn't worth the extra money. My non GPS marks my parking spot every time I lock it. You just have to turn on location service for the app

So save yourself money on the unit and yearly fee and buy the regular one.

    Guys,

If you would like to try it on your own then go for it! However the kit i put together is not only well put together, it makes you confident as to what your doing. I more than welcome people doing it themselves but it would be nice to keep it off my thread I started. Also realize you get no support buying a already flashed module. Your dealing with a brand new vehicles wiring not a easy task. Todays ECU's dont take much to fry. If you dont believe me ask any tech

Iv been doing this for many years so your getting myself and Voodoo as install partners if you need the help.

If I were a moderator I would probably kill this thread and let the DIY people start a new one and then you just have the one in the for sale area.

Agree with you on this. The directions and conversation we had made me feel like I GOT THIS!! I have never done anything like this in my life. Closest I got was testing christmas light wiring lol

So thank you once again for the ease of installation and time you put into this @nickj718 really appreciate it. Especially since my phone said "feels like -15" when i left this morning
