Full size trucks always look like you are coming or going to the jobsite. Taco's look like you are on vacation.

    When I see a red f350 dually
    All shiny

I usually think that person owns a large farm and instead of driving a Rapide they are driving a 350

Job site guys are white tundra SR or white Tacoma SR

I don't talk to poor Californians who move to Dallas and Austin

They are too poor to live here

    Good riddance

Most of the Surfboards that are on Tacos are from 1988 and never used. I don't care about what "looks fun," I care about what looks good. Fun is something I can have myself, I don't look at others and think fun ;)

To each their own I suppose.

To me a red F350 Dually has presence, that no Tacoma can ever match. Of course you can get 3 Tacomas for the price of a 350

To me this is pure sex (though I prefer brighter red), for you it might not be. Beauty of America, different trucks for different people :)

Hmm, to each his own I suppose. To me, that is a fugly ass truck. Not to mention almost no one needs the capability it can provide.

I guess some people feel the same way about the Tacoma though.

99.9% of Tacoma owners don't need its capability, either. 95% of Americans would be fine with a Tata Nano, yet no one will ever drive one of those things for free.

Choices are good for a consumer. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :)

I agree. The service trucks in forestry with a space cap full of a few thousand lbs. plow contractors with 2 tons of salt in the bed. Farmers who haul cattle, horses etc. But I also agree a certain percentage of people who buy those trucks have ZERO need for the truck.

I have zero need for sports cars and motorcycles too.... just like most americans with their toys. My 01 live on a farm 10 months out of the year. My 17 is a pavement princess, though I put a jug of milk in the back one time.

Taco owners (not talking about you) are often high and mighty and hate on big domestics. They won't hate on 8 feet bed Tundra owners.

Most Taco owners could get by with a Yaris, but they will be pretend they are some fancy outdoorsman, while sitting at their 9-5 computer job, and going to dunkin donuts on the weekend.

However, people choose to spend their money is their business....

maybe its a regional thing. But I dont see very many of those trucks not being used in the manner they should.

This is a universal thing that will never, ever go away. :) Some people just don't get that size sometimes does not matter (like Apple, whose mind-numbing fascination with thinness and minimalization to the point of no longer being intuitive and no longer having the "it just works" reputation like before ios7 and before Steve Jobs passed away), nor does being the biggest or fastest. I own a 1993 NSX which is not the fastest car, by far, from the 90's, and very few car buddies and even strangers can get that sometimes owning a car/truck is more about the overall package and...horrors upon horrors...personal preference. Hopefully just enjoy your taco. :)

It's becoming less common. As gas prices went up big truck sales slumped. Gas here was in the $1.40 range a litre a few short years ago and you could see the numbers of big trucks for soccer moms disappear.

It's free to buy what you want with your money, just my opinion. And they ride terribly.

$2.99 for premium /US gallon this morning

I wish gas would be $7-8$ a gallon like Europe so it would weed out the poseurs
