4.16/gallon here today. $3.78 is where I like it ($1/litre)
That's regular grade gasoline of course.

know people have different needs/wants, and yes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't care if someone buys an HD 3500 just because they like the look. It's their money, they can spend it how they see fit.

I personally have had both full and mid size trucks. I used the capabilities of both on occasion, but certainly not frequently. The trucks I've owned, I owned because I liked them. I liked the look and power of my Ram. I like the size, look, gas mileage, and manual trans of my Tacoma. I think all trucks have their merits and I don't consider any of them superior to the others.

That's pretty much why I sold my C5 a few years ago. Just got tired of people thinking I was a "corvette guy". Too many 55-year old goofballs wearing leather corvette jackets and ball caps. Plus there was no where to really drive it around here... too much traffic and cops. And every time I parked it someplace I'd come out to find someone parked their beat up corolla 4 inches from my door. Argh.

All I ever see when I see these is it looks like it would have a commercial hitch in the
bed and should be towing a horse trailer. They just look like farm/work trucks.

If people are spending $88000-$90,000 on a work truck, I am in the wrong profession.

FWIW, I think to any enthusiast car person, any vette owner driving a 100% stock Vette on the road (agreed, with no Corvette hat or Corvette front license plate or chromed-in body panel letters) or *any* stock or modified vette on a track have zero stigma.

But any owner of a full-size truck with a perfectly polished unblemished brushguard on the other hand... :)

isn't that just a tax write off then, kind of like your company paying a grand a month for your lease. Its just a tax write off at that point.

You still need to be making good money in order for your business to be able to write that much off for taxes.

It is, if is used by a large farm. I guess I misunderstood what the poster said. I thought it is a 1 man guy, buying a $90K truck to go to "work."

Thus my supposition was, if that is his work truck, i.e. the work is doing amazing $$$, plus I want to know if he is driving a Rapide or Phantom as a daily driver.

I posted this on another thread a while ago (Chevy ZR2 or whatever), and me and @ZachMX were talking about it. I spend a few hours in a Denali in Los Angeles in the passenger seat. All I know was, it was 4x4, and had brown interior leather and nav.

Last time I was inside an American car was 1997.

This one seemed almost cadillac ESV escalade like luxury. There were LOTS of power. Interior was gorgeous. No real panel gaps. Touch screen Nav worked fantastic. Dash board was great. I was very impressed. To me the center console was too big unnecessarily, but it wouldn't hamper the truck.

The owner paid low $50s for it. His other car is a Aston Rapide and a 911 Porsche GT3 RS.

I was thoroughly impressed with the Denali truck.

I'm the same way. I've owned Toyota, Jeep J10, Ford, Dodge and now Chevy. They're all trucks, they each have pluses and minuses, and they are all depreciating hunks of metal.

Not knocking my old Taco, but my current rig is fucking comfortable as I've ever owned. It's not even up for comparison.

I'm currently on a work/hunting trip this week- about 1,000 miles total when done. My truck is getting 18 mpg at 80mph AND it's been below zero and snow- so truck has been in AWD mode.

This truck is a pure pleasure to drive.
