Same here. I have 1k miles on my '17, I do notice the slight whistle at speed on the driver side door, but other than that the truck is fantastic. I'm guessing that the dealer will easily be able to resolve the whistle at my 5k services so I'm not concerned about it.

Enough with the annoying drum brakes complaint. Brakes are brakes, they slow and stop the vehicle.

Sometimes I feel like I'm on the wrong forum. My Tacoma can actually tow.

My 17 PRO has a leaking left headlight. Going to take it to dealer for new light. Already talked to service manager on the phone, and emailed in.

Be careful. You might have the fixtures that allow fitment of the Thunderbolt Ram Air option, and it's just the fixture block off plate that's leaking.

[IMG] I would just let those hoses drag. That way you could be a good citizen and vacuum while you drive.

I was told they are coming out with a TSB to replace the doors weather strips with thicker rubber.

I want to say front doors. They say the weather strip is fibratting at certain winds causing the noise.

On the way home I am gonna turn off my AM radio, and hit 80mph, to see if I can hear it on my 17. My 16 didn't have it.

    Appreciate the info

I have a 17 TRD PRO and haven't had any of these issues either. If I were forced to complain, I'd say the transmission shifts a little more than I'd like. But it has been no problem. And I don't hear/notice the noises. Only had it two months...so things could change. But I love it. No regrets at all.

I hate it when people are smart-asses on here. But I really do think you should take that list to the dealer and tell them to give you a loaner until they are fixed. I know we beat up dealerships here. But I'm pretty sure my dealer would oblige.

OP ... sorry for your difficulties ... my present Gen. 3 has had fewer problems than my past Toyota pickups.

Good Luck ... Hope you get a good resolution with Toyota.

I notice a slight whistle noise on my '17. It sounds like the door is ajar or something. However, I can't hear it with the radio on. It has to be silent in the cab for me to notice it.

It seems it needs a certain wind speed/ wind direction too. Winds from the west where I live blowing 90kmh and it does it driving north and west, barely if at all driving south and east. Always a nice quiet drive heading home.

This is my experience as well. It only occurs periodically depending on wind direction/speed.
