If I were to do it again I'd definately do it like this. My work bench wasn't big enough for the bumper cover so I cut it on the floor. It wasn't stabilized and I had to flip it a couple of times. Also contrary to the instructions I recommend mounting the SSO bumper first (before replacing the bumer cover) as its allot easier to do your wiring and bolt tightening.

    *edit
Ive had this on for a couple months now and loving it! Not trying to whine about the instructions, just found this easier for me.

Totally agree, I messed the cutting a bit as a result. And at the very least, need to leave the grill off.

I went thru the install instructions several times to make sure it should be ok. SSO said it could be done either way but they thought it was easier taking it off. With my unforgiving black paint, I did not want to wrestle with it loose. VERY easy to cut while attached to body.

@Lord Humongous do you think it's possible to install without taking the bumper off at all? Grille I can understand would be easier OFF. I am only installing LED light bar - no winch right now. SSO said " maybe".

Should be here in a couple weeks!

I definately think it would be possible but when I installed it the front of my truck was "naked". I could easily get at all of the mounting bolts. It might be difficult to torque some of these bolts properly with the cover still on. Remember there are 2 solid recovery points on the front of this bumper and today's kinetic recovery ropes can inflict allot for stress! if your worried about removing the bumper cover it's not bad at all. PM and I can send you some tips. BTW don't stress too much about taking apart the front bumper cover and assembly. Unless your a complete millennial tool you can do this lol!

Sweet baby Jesus! I've been wanting to see a baja lights bumper for a while now but your truck just takes it to a whole new level. Can we use these pictures for some instagram and facebook coverage?

Seriously though, @SouthernStyleOffRoad, that bumper is sleek as hell. I'm hoping one will be in my fairly near future! Question for you too: do you offer it without the LED cutout? I've already mounted a 30" behind the bumper and would like to keep that in place without having an awkward gap, if you know what I mean.

They do offer the bumper with a flat face and no led cutout. Mine is on the delivery truck and should arrive tomorrow.

I do not know their normal lead times, but I ordered near cyber Monday and this thing will arrive tomorrow, so that is shockingly fast. I was not expecting anything until sometime into the new year at the earliest, so thumbs up on SSO.

@machspeed, awesome news bud! Send me a shot or two once you get it mounted, if you wouldn't mind.

Has anyone mounted a front license plate with this bumper? Here in New Jersey it's required, and the LEO's are out to make every nickel they can for their towns and state so your not going to get away without it.

BTW, before any :crapstorm: I'm pro LEO.

I'm in BC and have the V2 Flipster mounted on mine. Works great.

Attaches right under the Hawse fairlead. Look back some pages in this thread, I posted some photos.
