Also the 5100s for 2nd Gens are kinda crappy and bilstein makes other better shocks with beefier parts.

Are you talking about the 6112s and 5160s? If not, what other shocks?

 

I had the 5100/886 combo with a heavy ARB bumper, winch, and full skids. The ride was okay. You have to have a heavy set up in the front of your truck. Otherwise the ride will be horrible. I honestly done know if a hybrid will be heavy enough to help with that combo.

I'm going to be honest with you. Buy Once, Cry Once need to be the moto for buying coilovers. I've done the 5100 lift and the awesome deal used icon shocks and the 5100/886 combo. I now have a set of high end $$$$ coilovers and they are the answer to everything. I can adjust the hight and the valving to get the perfect ride and feel. Over 4 years I've spent a lot of money. I could have saved a lot of money and time if I would have when big the first time.

As far the rear. The OME dakars are great. I replaced my Expo leafs with them and they ride nice.

What are you running for rear lift?

 

The rear lift is from the Dakar leaf springs. I have pro comp rear shocks but I will soon be replacing them with shocks I can tune.

No. he bought my expos. After I sold my RTT and bed rack I didn't need the capacity of the expos. That's why I bought the dakars.
