    Does anyone know of any products out there besides the AAL, Tibren and SuperSprings that'll increase load capacity? im kinda running out of options right now, just looking for some ideas to work with. I'm already using upgraded struts out back with the 4X4 leaf pack with my stock overload upside down (which helped a bit) just wanted to see if anyone knew of any other products out there that would work, besides helper bags?

    no i don't want to get a bigger truck. i like having money to eat instead of paying for gas lol.

    and i kinda want to get airbags but don't really want to drill into the frame, but we'll see.

    and no i can't get the tsb done, im a 5 lug...lol and plus the dealers down here are pretty shtty so i can't really find a used pack.

    Firestone Ride-Rite airbags are bolted on no drilling. They are fully adjustable to your load and can be lowered when there is no load. I am very happy with the set I put on my truck. Just search "firestone ride-rite airbags".

    Flip your overload spring back to the way it came stock. (the way you have is is not ok) Then get the Timbrens. They just bolt on and are designed for loads. They should be able to handle whatever you put in the back. Plus then when unloaded you truck still rides like stock.

    You already seem to know all of the options. You're not pleased and want more options. There pretty much aren't any.

    Your truck is not going to magically haul more at no cost or modification. You either need to cough up a little money for one of these options or cough up a lot of money for a full size truck.

    I don't intend to be rude, but those are the facts.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Alot more things factor into a trucks load capacity than just springs. Brakes, cooling system, are a couple other things that give the vehicle its max. capacity, along with frame strength, axel strength, etc.

    Good points indeed and very true. I think he could still increase his capacity without all of those things. Albeit, probably not enough to matter too much. Maybe an improvement of a few hundred pounds.

    The moral of the story. If you want to haul or tow a bunch of heavy shit, buy a big truck.

    I have an idea of getting a small travel trailer and towing it with my Tacoma. No spring TSB has been done at this time. I like the Firestone ride-rite airbag system. Those should be good for the extra load when I would attach up a trailer to my rig?

    If you're just pulling a "small travel trailer", you're just fine with your tow package, V6 truck. if you're concerned or want that added "insurance", I'd go get the TSB for free before I bought airbags.

    With that being said, airbags certainly won't hurt anything.

    Have you considered a set of Alcan Springs? That's what I would suggest. You can order your pack's to the load capacity you need, within reason.

    I'm running a set on my truck now and love them!

    the way i have it right now its actually stiffer and i bottom out less that with the 4X4 leaf on. and it gives me and extra half inch of drop.

    and timbrens wont really work. i have 1" of suspension travel.

    go down to your local auto parts store and pick up a set of spring helpers they only take a few mins to put on. mine say they add an extra 500lb to the capacity. I have no idea how true that is i got them to stiffen the rear up some since the rear was soft but not bad enough to get the TSB done. they worked great so far for what i have needed. plus only run you about $30 and you dont have to pull apart your factory leaf pack like an AAL, but an AAL would be your best option.

    I used Firestone air bags on my 05 and Ride Right in 09. The two are not the same. The Firestone are more Heavy duty with 5000lbs capacity which are pretty good for a bigger truck. For a Tacoma the Ride Right are perfect (in my eyes). With 2500 lbs capacity is more then enough for what this truck is intended to tow or cary.

    Also if you do any light off road the fact that the Ride Right is one single,long (rubber chamber) without the ring in the middle like the Firestone,,, it allows for a little bit more flex. It will strech a little bit easier but you have to be verry carefull not to rip them apart if you do some serious flex. I keep them at 5-7 psi most of the time and add only when I tow with.

    What do you mean you only have 1" of suspension travel? Like you have an inch between the bump stop and the axle?

    good to know....and i don't really need to worry too much about flexing lol...did u have to drill for any of them? how exactly do they attatch to the frame?

    No drilling at all. Order the parts anywhere is convenient for you $$$$ and make sure you get the right part. I paid aprox $245 at a local shop.
    Lift the rear, put it on two jack stands and remove both tires. You will (at least I sugest to) have a 6x6 wood block that you need to put under your lift. This is only if you use your oem jack (lift). If you have something else ignore my remark about the wood block.
    Place your lift under your tow hitch and raise the body off the rear axle.
    You will see that as you raise you give your self more space between the axle and the under frame. Preassemble the bag with both brackets down on the ground and install the lower bracket. At this point you may have to lower the body so you can install the top bracket. The rest is self explanatory in the instructions that it comes with. The brackets is coming with are using existing holes. It may get a little tricky with the top bracket but with patience you will get it there.
    Now, depending on wich one you chose they both have ++++ and--- when is about the installation. The Firestone will be installed right on top of the axle. This require that you cut the oem stop (overload) rubber bumper and this is why this can take more load -5000 lbs. The Right Ride will be installed on top of the springs -right on front of the axle. That must (or could ) be the reason its limited to 2500 lbs. Personaly, for this, (my) truck, this is more then enough.

    Very important that you conect the air line corectly and that you test them after installation. I placed the two sradder valve on each side of license plate as high is possible so they don't get damaged when you step on the bumper.

    It took me about an hour to complete the installation. Good luck and if you have any other questions ,, let us know.
